you can start joining magicka giveaways in 14 days again , that's when steam will erase it from your recently played list. (same with other games you play on trial)

IndieGala has it for cheap if you can't wait. Comes with some other great games too.

the demo version, yes same happened when I tryed ravaged for the weekend. Still from teh look of it, I wouldnt have wanted that anyway.
