IT depends on the type of giveaway. If you constantly enter the ones with 10,000 entries, about that many times. I think I was pushing 1k entires when I got my first, so just keep going and it will happen.

I had to enter about 800 before I won my first one.

its just random, i got lucky if only recently joined and have entered 66 and won 2 so i guess ive been lucky

When I won I had about 850 entries and it doesn't really count because it was a group giveaway with only 3 other entries.

Check out the "Estimated Wins" number on your profile. That tells you the average number of giveaways you can expect to have won given all the completed giveaways you've entered and their odds at the time when they closed. In your case, it looks like your results are about average.

As for how many giveaways -- remember, that depends on your chance of winning each one. If you (somehow) happened to enter a giveaway where you were the only person who entered, you'd have a 100% chance of winning; on the other hand, if you enter nothing but highly-popular giveaways which end up with several thousand other people in them, you're probably going to have to enter a lot before you win anything.
