That is the big dilemma. And the types of games people like are so diverse. Can you develop one that will produce enough net revenue?
But there still exist the conventions where you can gauge interest.

Wow, you've really gone to a lot of effort to make sure you wouldn't be misunderstood and I truly appreciate that but for future reference, I never assume people are being mean so feel free to talk freely to me <3

SG profile page just takes the prices form the Steam page, regardless of if they were bundled or not before the giveaway was created and real CV tool takes that into account
It's known that if you give a game that was bundled (ever) or on sale of or over 95% before you created the giveaway you'll only get (in SG v2) 15% of the game's value (as listed on Steam).
As situation stands it is very reductive but there's currently no other way of tracking prices to get a "real" CV and it is the most fair way available as it takes into consideration that you can always get games that were previously bundled at a lot lower price by trading than those that were never bundled.
The worst cases are when games go f2p and you've given them away since both SG and real CV take the base game price from Steam so if you've payed, let's say 20$, and the game goes f2p you lose your 20$ CV.

No system is perfect and this is the best one we have here so that's why I decided to ask for your opinion.
I would have, of course, accepted no as an answer as it's your wishlist and it's entirely up to you to decide which rules you want to apply, if any. :)
