Unlucky. If you don't want to fall foul of another fake, check the gifter's profile before entering. It's pretty obvious which giveaways have a high risk of being duds, and you can make an informed decision on whether to risk [free] points and personal disappointment by entering.

I still think there should be a signup questionnaire to (i) force people to read and understand the FAQ and (ii) weed out the incorrigible morons for whom this site and its puzzling mechanics will forever remain a baffling mystery.
