Are all these Planetary Annihilation giveaways devaluing CV.

In light of all these Planetary Annihilation : Deluxe Commander Edition giveaways, nearly 300 in about a week. Most of these are from the Bundlestars giveaway and are the standard edition. People are getting 35 CV for each of them. I know admin are gradually deleting them as thankfully you can check via steam if a Deluxe Commander edition has been activated. But enough of them are going to slip through and people will think the reward is worth the risk. Any ideas what admin can or should do in this case and circumstances like this?

only thing that can be done would be disabling GAs for Deluxe Commander Edition as well, but it would mean that legitemate copies, even if these are in minority, caouldn't be given away for no reason punishing fair users.

It may be an idea to do it temporarily. Would stop the flood and make it easier to deal with when its lifted with the people who had hoarded the cards.

Well people should just mark as not received if instead Deluxe thety will get standard, problem solved :)

I don't know about the rest, but my Digital Deluxe Commander Bundle copy is from Bundle Stars' All Stars 5 Bundle. If the winner won't get the deluxe version, I'll create a support ticket on BS to get the right one.

Yours will be fine. It is one of dlcs that shows up on steam. Steamgifts tool doesn't catch it but it shows up on steam itself.

Because it is not exactly a DLC but a completely different version of the same game; you cannot even get the additional content without buying the base game (again).

We are talking about a studio that used to sell a pre-alpha framework of the same game for like 90 dollars saying they'll use the money to finish the product; then abandoned the game and restarted it under a different name to get out of this obligation.

I know that, but I didn't know about the DLC "scam" you've mentioned. I'm surprised why they gave away the standard game for free. Do they want to redeem themselves a little bit or the standard game is an unfinished crap anyway?

The old version is abandoned and unfinished. the SP campaign and part is buggy and the AI is still terrible; the MP is working fine though last I heard, and fairly populated. It could be seen as a marketing ploy to make them look better and also hoping some people will get Titans as well; heck, they made it rather apparent when they threw in a coupon for Titans in the last Humble Bundle that had the old game in it.

The DLC is partly scam, by the way, it is more like a new version put up that included the old backer extras for a nominal fee. I have no idea why didn't they use the DLC option, that is sure suspicious. The last time I saw this was when Square changed Deus Ex 3 to the Director's Cut in the store and old owners didn't get it for free, they had to re-buy it. (Still, it was for a few buck only for the owners.)

Thanks! I thought EA is a greedy company, but Uber Entertainment took it to another level. I will think a few times before I buy something from them (and it has to look super interesting to even think about buying). Cheers.

I haven't been here for weeks and I just saw my CV has actually increased, while it kept going down while I was making giveaways. Maybe that is the way forwards...
