I think it'll be a Fallout movie.I don't expect them to release Fallout 4 before new generation consoles.

I hope it's the game, cause i couldn't care less about a movie...

I think he is referring to how some people say they 'could care less' but if they could care less, they do care somewhat.
It's a pet peeve of mine too...

Well hopefully they spend a lot of time developing it and maybe even making a whole new engine for it. I don't really like the Creation engine. If they actually spend a lot of time to make it good then it might not be out before the next generation. Or they're focusing on PC, which doesn't seem likely.

:-) i'm too lazy for that too, i also don't know why i subscribed, in the first place. it was many moons ago...

Almost always you need to log into the website in order to unsubscribe. But of course I don't remember my password, so I need to send an email, change the password, e-log in and THEN I get to click unsubscribe. This is all assuming that the email arrives in my inbox (I can remember times when it takes 10 mins or doesn't even show up at all -_-) Some sites ask me if I'm sure I want to unsubscribe after I click on unsubscribe. It's smarter to avoid these minor inconveniences and just block that shit.

Fallout 3 wasn't that good, I hope they do something closer to 2 of New Vegas. They should just keep having Obsidian make Fallout games.

I doubt Obsidian's gonna work on Fallout again any time soon though, with Project Eternity, South Park: Stick of Truth and I think another game all in the works

I've never got to play FNV, for longer than half an hour. Then it bored me.
FO3 sucked me in from around 19:00h (Install complete) till 10:00h the next day, when i finally realized that there's the sun shining again on the outside :-)
That was on release day, i might add.
I absolutely loved this game to death

The first village? Goodsprings or whatever its called (it's been a while)?
At the very least play until you get to New Vegas, or at least past Primm (the roller coaster town). Honestly the game does start out much slower than 3 did, around Primm I started getting that sinking 'this wasn't worth the money' feeling... but pretty much everything past that point was gold.

I might give it another shot, thx for your opinion

Same here. I totally love Fallout 1-2 and I really enjoyed Fallout 3 (I was playing it A LOT, for a month or so), but I couldn't get into New Vegas. I tried to give it a chance three times, but just got bored. It has original soundtrack from Fallout 1-2, its wasteland more similar to them (though it's too shiny in New Vegas for me) and it has many references to F. 1-2, but I can't finish it and I don't know what's wrong with that game.

I'm in the same boat. Big FO2 player here (replayed it much more than FO1), I liked FO3 but NV lacked in immersion. In FO3 you were a Vault Dweller, you learned about your parents, grew up with your father, and then he leaves and you're rushed into the action and out of the vault. It has importance, I feel connected. In NV what happens? You are a nobody and you have no real purpose, find out who shot you. Why? I don't care about my character yet. I don't really care about anyone yet. I lost interest quickly.

Not really, Fallout 3 had tons of problems before you start making comparisons to other fallout games and trying to stick it into the Fallout world.

I don't recall anyone saying that seriously about 2, period. New Vegas, I've heard grumblings but not nearly as much as 3, and honestly the fact that you only took that small part of what I said to complain about means you don't really have an argument. Besides a few people complaining here and there isn't much, having played through all of them, 3 doesn't really fit in that well, it doesn't do anything egregiously wrong with the lore. On the other hand even when not associated with the rest of the fallout universe and examined by itself it has problems, which was the main point of what I just said, the game has a lot of problems before you try jamming it into the Fallout universe which sadly just causes a few more problems. Of course you can play through the games yourself and make your own assessments rather than just listening to what other people say.

Well, I did in the months after it came out, period. I honestly wonder how you didn't.

No, it just means that that is the part of your statement I mostly disagree with.
having played through all of them, 3 doesn't really fit in that well
It seems to me you don't really have much of an argument, either, apart from "I think it's like this and some other people do, too". My retort, then, is that I, too, have played all of them, and I think Fallout 3 (unlike, say, Brotherhood of Steel for the PS2) fits in quite nicely.
it has problems, which was the main point of what I just said
Sure it has, but in my opinion (and that's all this is), the problems weren't that big an issue. It certainly didn't diminish my personal enjoyment of the game during the couple of hundred hours I played it.
Of course you can play through the games yourself and make your own assessments rather than just listening to what other people say.
Well, that is sound advice.

I know, but my original statement of if it is 3D with real time battles then it isn't Fallout would seem to snotty. My actually statement was referring to the skill tree idea. The perks and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats are a vital part of the Fallout charm.

Hopefully first thing they will announce is "we found some proper story makers to create something better then 'run out of prison to save the world' beginning". And they won't use Radiant to create bunch of "kill Evil Super Mutant and bring me his head for few caps".
Comment has been collapsed.
True, we need epic main plot and we don't need Radiant quests (in Skyrim they were awkward). But at least we had good side quests and I hope they'll keep doing them that way.

For the longest time I always confused the two myself seeing them typed out in text. :(

According to this Click we might hear some official stuff about Fallout 4 in the (very) near future.
I absolutely loved FO3, so i'm pretty hyped about this, but what's your opinion?
