If he has already been reported on SR, just leave it alone. It'll be up to the rest of the users to do their research. Since you didn't actually get scammed and he's not really exhibiting behaviour that is too suspicious (from reading the chat), you won't need to write a report since there's nothing to report.

Well alright, thanks. It's a bit scary because they do have some good rep, but one of the bad reps said they likely just did cheap easy trades to build rep before scamming people for tons of keys, but if there's nothing to do then that's that.

you did the right thing.. i dont trade for these reasons alone but the minute someone says "they have no proof i scammed them" instead of saying they did not scam them would be the first sign they are trouble and the minute they got defensive i would just say thanks for there time and delete them.

So, I've been trying to get a copy of Spore Complete, and out of the blue someone comments on my steam profile saying they added me for Spore, followed by a friend request. They didn't comment on my thread here, just went straight to steam. I accept, and the following exchange happened:

Is there something I should be doing about this? I really don't want anyone to get scammed, and just want to look out for everyone else because I know that a spiel like that would work on some people, or someone might not even bother checking rep before the trade, which we can't really help. No actual trade took place and no items changed hands, we just had this chat before he got off. I haven't been here too long yet, and don't want to do anything wrong in this situation, so I'm here to ask if there's anything I should do at all, or just leave it alone and hope nothing goes wrong for anyone else?
