The bit that says Games For Windows is to show that it works on a Windows OS, Games for Windows =/= GFWL (Games for Windows Live)

This. "Games for Windows" just means that the game runs on Windows. "Games for Windows LIVE" actually involves the GFWL that everyone knows and hates.
It can be confusing, but it's a big difference.

"games for Windows" are games for PCs with Micrososft windows; "Games for windows Live" are games (for PCs with windows) that uses the retarded anti-player system of microsoft... they are not the same, luckyly GFWL is not an obligation to play games in PC, just a few, for some reason that still i dont know...
