Let's go with Zimbabwean.

Titter ye not. There are computers available to fit even the most meagre budgets. As of 4pm (NZST), $800 Zimbabwean Dollars will net you this rig..

Don't delay though. Taking into account Zimbabwean hyper-inflation, and weak performance against every other major currency, if you wait until tomorrow morning, you'll have to forego the mouse & monitor, and rely solely on keyboard shortcuts for navigation :(

Clearly you dont know everyone on the planet. I dont know about you, but ive met plenty of people that clearly have no business handling the innards of a cheap toy, forget about an 800+ dollar thing of parts.

Double vote for the i5-25/35k.
Also for 10 bucks more on newegg you can get a 1.5TB seagate drive for storage (5200RPM)
Id also dump a bit more into a good PSU like a Corsair builder. Saw one on newegg in the 550/650 area for 70 I think. Not sure if its still on sale though.

Just buy a build it yourself from newegg. Much better deal if you can follow instructions and are carefull.
like this
Saves enough money for a good video card as well.

Christmas/black friday deals.
Even if you dont celebrate any traditional holidays, most places do, or at least offer great deals on items for black friday/ cyber mondays.

If you aren't comfortable with building your own from pieces, I'd recommend going to newegg.com and looking at their prebuilt ibuypower.com computers for sale. They are usually on sale, and even if not, are already cheaper than what you could get with very similar specs by custom building it on cyberpowerpc.com or ibuypower.com.

00 dollars, small budget. Anyway giving you some pro tips here since your budget is pretty crap.
Dumpster diving, you need to find a decent place for old or unwanted computer parts, I recommend college dumpsters.

Huh? $800 is a fine budget. It'll create a decent gaming computer as long as you don't buy the overpriced retail crap.

800 will give you entry level, don't be an idiot.
Take my advice colleges, assholes throw out some decent high priced items do to some moronic reasons.
Hell I haven't paid for a computer part in ages.

You didn't specified if you want a monitor included in that price. So I made 2 suggestions:
without monitor, $798

  • i5 3570k, ASRock Z77 Pro3, 8GB RAM, 1T HDD, GTX 560Ti
    with 24" monitor, $808
  • i5 3470, ASRock Z77 Pro3, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD, HD6870
