Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone. I was wondering if I could receive a bit of assistance from the community. Things have been feeling pretty stale lately, and I was hoping to liven everything up with some more music. Mainly because I pretty much got my earphones in all day, or the player on all the time. My absolute favorite genres are shoegaze and dream pop, but I’ll listen to most anything that isn’t just noise (that’s not to say I don’t love ambient and noise rock/pop). So please recommend me some of the most worthwhile music you’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to in your life. From any time period and in any language is fine. Just give me something I may never have found on my own.

And speaking of music, I was also hoping you could help me help a very dear friend of mine. He’s got a band called Prontic, with which he mostly makes alternative/indie rock music. They don’t have a whole lot uploaded yet, but please check out their Soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/user-660596031) and Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/artist/6XySwXSIeZtWoxJ98UkNZR), and if you like what you hear, spread the word to family and friends and the internet. I’m really looking forward to hear what they’ll come up with in the future. Encourage them, and help them get to where they can be. Thanks for the support. (:

{Just added a bunch of some of my most favorite songs, meant to recommend them to everyone in the beginning, but was busy all week. ALSO, MY FRIEND UPLOADED MORE SONGS ON THE SPOTIFY, PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT. c:}

And thank you for your time and the cyberspace. Looking forward to any and all recommendations I’ll be lucky enough to get.

Hope you like anime. {ENDED}

It absolutely is nice c:
This song always reminded me of the first Kingdom Hearts' menu theme
The other piano pieces on Druqs and some of his other albums are also very, very relaxing and lovely

Are mixes I like to hear when I'm busy working on something ^_^
Guess it's mostly hits/pop mix but I like it, in some I hear a totally new song by how they lined up the mix, kinda neat ^^

I'm pretty sure you already know Sigur Ros.. My favourite song by them is probably Agaetis Byrjun, and especially the version from Heima

I chose one per artist/band :) This doesn't change the fact that "Paradise" is a pretty good choice ;)

Ladybug by Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorites. I also really love Oranger's Version of Mr. Sandman. Unfortunately, though, I don't really know much in your preferred genres. Sorry 'bout that.

I know you say in your post that you don't want just noise, but these are pretty interesting. I've been looking for music that uses similar rhythm/instruments.

Nagoya Marimbas - Steve Reich
Chopstick Piano - Kuma Films
With lyrics
Dry the River I haven't listened to them recently. I kind of made myself sick of their songs after listening to them everyday for a year. My favorites were 'Weights and Measures' and No Rest. Some of their songs get kind of pitchy.

I'd offer more, but honestly I just end up listening to a pandora rock/metal station most of time anymore.
