I've only won once, but I think it works fine as is. It does start to feel a bit weighted after you enter 50 contests with 50 entrants and never win... But if you flip a coin 49 times and it comes up heads, what are the chances that it will come up heads on flip 50? 50/50, just like every other flip.

In a case like that, simple statistics are useless. You could easily look at it another way by saying the odds of at least one in 50 coin flips coming up heads is nearly 100%.

Also another point is how do you decide who is in and out, someone with 1 win might have won fortix worth 99c, and someone might have won a game worth $50, are they to be considered in the same class pf 'lucky'?
Also, what is stop people just creating new accounts (as they can give themselves invites) to join these giveaways?

Yeah, I won Terraria right when I joined but now I'm close to 200 giveaways without winning anything except that $10 game. Would I be considered lucky? :/

Yes, but only because it was Terraria. I won bundles. One of them I didn't even intend to try to win - I was GIVING away a bundle, myself. Forgot to retract ONE friggin entry, and wouldn't you know it? I won that one. Bah. I'd trade you HIB#3 for Terraria. =P

Meh, I think being here is more about the fun of giving and winning something I'm interested in- regardless of cost. I'm sure I'll be more on the gifting than receiving side when all is said and done. I'm not likely to drop more than $20 on a game to give out, though it's great when people do, I just think it would be a nice thing to do for those who are active and have never gotten the thrill of a win.

It's more fun for me to gift, than to win...provided I know that the person getting the game is all, like, "yay!" The SICK part of it, though, is I usually rationalize it by telling myself that I'm essentially making someone else test a game that I considered buying for myself..."Did you like that game? What did you enjoy most about it." It makes sense to me, despite being able to read reviews (which are probably altered by the media, anyhow.)

I think there should be some sort of system to create a giveaway for those who have 0 wins and who have already entered.. say over 250 giveaways or something of the sort.

Everyone loses, man. I don't expect to win for at least another few weeks, if I do at all.

I'm new to this, so I don't know how desired or doable this might be. Some people get lucky and win games right off the bat. others languish with none at all. I think it would be nice to set up a private giveaway for those who have entered X number of times with no wins (100 entries, 200 entries, 500, whatever.)
The only way I can see to do this would be to manually search profiles for them and send them the URL on steam - extremely time consuming. I think having this as an option while creating giveaways would be awesome. Or, is there a way to write a script to cull that info and run it automatically (I have no experience/skillz programming so I don't know)
I just see how it might be really disheartening to enter for months on end and not win anything. By limiting the pool to those folk, at least you know the person who is winning is a persistent (and unlucky) person. It would help to reward those who keep at it despite their past fortune. Thoughts?
