I don't think so, man =/ I don't play ESO but, from my past experience with steam backup, you can't.

Well, as far as I know, Steam checks the steamapps\common folder to see if the game is still installed. So, maybe, if you copy the ESO's folder there, Steam will detect it. You can also tell steam to check other folders for installed games. But I'm not sure, since I always created Steam backups copies.

As i indicated in the title can we merge the files we downloaded before hand through ESO's websit with steam ? I'll probably buy it through steam tonight but can't wait till that time. My download speed is 300-350kb/s so it'll take ~48hours to download... Excuse my grammar.
