Hi everyone,

I purchased the Humble Bundle with Android 6 (below average) purely for Stealth Bastards Deluxe and thought I'd give away the others. After just discovering this site a week or so ago, I created my first giveaway today for Fractal and emailed the winner with the Steam key.

Is this the normal/appropriate way to give a gift to a winner? Is there a better way of doing it?

Thanks in advance!

Sending the key is fine. Also you might wanna check out that bundle games only give a maximum amount of CV.

Be careful about emailing keys. If the winner does not respond or mark it as received you will not be able to get a reroll because you will not know for sure the key is still unused. Most people add the winner on steam if it is a key, you can also email them to check and wait for a response before sending it.

I usually prefer adding the winner on steam and send the key in chat if the gift is high-priced. for bundled game or sth <$5 there is not much risk in just sending them through mail.

I always do it by email.. but some have had trouble with winners not checking their email/not marking as received gift. You could also add the winner on steam and giving the steam code through chat.

I prefer adding the winner and giving him the key or gift directly face to face. eliminates problem of mail going to spam or the person ot noticing it.

I'd most likely add them directly and give them the key, mailing keys doesn't sound right.

I've had trouble with e-mailing keys in the past, so I normally send an e-mail asking them to add me on Steam as well as add them on steam myself, and once they prove they exist, I give them the key over steam. So far no problems.

Always did that by email... in 60 giveaways i never had issues with that.

Someone does that by "forcing" other users to add them on steam and be online at the same time as the other user does, i don't like that at all though.
