Cave Story + vs Valdis Story, which ones better?

I never heard of Valdis Story, but Cave Story was absolutely great.

Cave Story is amazing. I played through the very-expensive Cave Story 3D version and it is great.

Valdis Story was on my wishlist for a long time, but when I finally played it, I found the gameplay tedious and the story really annoying. The art is great, but for me that's it. On the other hand, Cave Story is the game that brought me into indie games (6 years ago...), the gameplay, the level design, the story, everything is well executed. It's a bit more "nervous" than Valdis too. So I would go for Cave Story :)

Not familiar with the latter, but enjoyed Cave Story.

Cave story is like 15/10 and it's free. Cave story+ is HD version of a great game + some steam features. Never heard about another game

Cave Story is iconic and it stands the test of time. It's one of my top five games of all time. Interestingly, there's another thread that asks what indie games are overrated. No one voted for Cave Story.
