I've had Geneshift for awhile(since 2018 I believe) and apparently I don't have the full game anymore. Did the game that was sold awhile ago get converted to the "Free Edition"?

Complete edition is a DLC. I own that on my main account since oct 2018.
In december 2018. The game was made available for free for a limited time, (Not the complete edition) You probably own this sub while free edition is this app

my version was something like a freemium.. some content but most of the offline campaign locked..

It's a bit muddled and lengthy, but I think I managed to get it pretty much figured out.
tl;dr version:
$10 version
$15 releases, $10 version gains $5 DLC for free.
$10 version goes free (temporarily)
$10 version goes free (permanently)
[Upcoming promotion may be reoffering the temporarily free version again for the sake of trading cards..?]
Slightly wordier tl;dr version: The "Free Edition" is a newer perma-free version with the same Battle Royale content that used to cost $9.99, that we got for free back in 2018. Our version didn't change, and should still drop trading cards, but its associated content has gone free. Meanwhile, anyone who actually purchased the game got given the Complete Edition DLC for free (that even before the free version we got was offered), meaning their version may have actually appreciated value (up to 14.99). To put it another way, the single-player campaign has really gone up in its relative pricing. :P

Play for free with the Free Edition! This is far more than a demo, it's almost the full game with no time limits. The main catch is that you'll earn XP 5x slower. But all withheld XP will be automatically given back when you upgrade to the full game. Try it out!

Free between 11-13 May. According to steamdb its just the basegame. I dont think there really is any difference between this and the demo. Except +1 in library because the demo is free on demand and this will be no cost license. I would also asume it doesnt show as owned game on "free edition/Demo" because the demo is different appid.
Acccording to information on steam even the demo is almost full game. Only difference is that you earn XP 5x slower and complete edition unlocks campain.
