Bundle buying....
my general rule: if it's more than 0.25$ per game -> too expensive to buy.
that's why i never buy bundles from HumbleBundle... -____-"

I will not buy any more bundles for myself until my backlog is completed.
Even if the deal is good, there will probably be a better one later unless it is a price error.
Usually my resistance is strong. Occasionally I fail. The last bundle I bought myself was the Telltale Bundle.
I haven't even activated those games yet. This is why I shouldn't buy any more bundles.

It was a build your own Telltale Bundle from the Humble Store.
So it's not officially a bundle, I suppose. But the 85% off was a bit too hard for me to resist. :)

Bump (in the night)
and here's hoping for 100 players (mostly just counting the number of people joining in)

usually ...
like with IG monday ... I want only Momodora, but it's a pass for $2, and most friends don't want any other games

Hey, I wanted Momodora only too, mostly cos i read it's an RPG game. The rest... not so much. Maybe as a win or something i guess...

127 players, 109 solvers. I'm slightly worried. Where did the other 18 players go?

It's a muddled process for me. I get a bundle if I'm strongly interested / want at least half of the games (after doing research on the games if I am unfamiliar with them) AND I can justify the price paid for those games (ignoring the others) to myself. If there is just one or two games that I'm interested in, I pass and usually try to trade/win those, or mark them for later. However, I will buy a bundle if it contains even 1 game that I know someone dear to me would enjoy / wants to play.
Bump for all the fish! :)

yay fish!
Agreed with the win strategy, i just toss it into the wishlist section and move on

I chose based on the games, if they look fun and I have the cash I will go for it.

Only 1 game interest me, and that's Momodora III. So is it still a good idea to drop $2 for the bundle?
It depends how much Momodora III is worth to you. It's about 50% off from the retail price, with a bunch of other games as a bonus. If you would buy that game alone for $2, then it's a no-brainer. If you wouldn't, then you have to ask yourself if those extra games are worth anything to you. (Whether it's for your own account, trading or giveaway fodder)

Last bump, and time to let this thread shrivel away to nothing

So I'm one of those people who just can't decide whether to pick up a bundle or not. Reason's cos I've noticed that most of the times the games I buy either just collect dust in my Steam account, or get exploited for steam cards.
Hence I'm making a thread to hear about how you decide to pick up a bundle; what's your thought process, what kind of budget do you set aside for them, what if no steam cards were available for any of the games?
Examples:
HB Weekly
BTA has 3 games to pickup, and the collector's itch wants me to pick up Kurumi DLC. So BTA for the win?
IndieGala Monday Bundle
Only 1 game interest me, and that's Momodora III. So is it still a good idea to drop $2 for the bundle?
