If the official site only has a download for Windows 7 onwards, that should probably be a hint.

If this fails to run on your PC, then Idle Master isn't going to happen for you.

That's an old python version that works on Windows XP it's what I'm using without a problem.

btw please know that due to Steam's refund policy you'll not get cards until you have passed 2 hours in the game already. It took me 10.4 hours to get the 3 cards of How to Survive. Happy idling!
