Hard to pich a favourite, but I love The Legend of 1900, which is by the same director who made Cinema Paradiso. And Castle in the Sky, if we're including animated films.

Easily Aliens, I use to watch it every afternoon when I came home from school, actually started counting how many times I'd watched is and stopped counting when it was over 100. At one stage I could almost quote the whole movie line for line, wish I'd put 1/10th as much effort into my schooling haha

The Fountain - After watching it once I was intrigued, after watching it twice I saw many new things, the third time helped me see the more intricate details and layering. It might be my all time fav.
The Thin Red Line - It's like The Avengers, but actually good and with depth...LOL. No but seriously, a star studded affair that puts the spotlight on a (then) lesser known actor, who delivers, in spades. A war movie that alternates between raw reality and poetic melancholia.
The Fall - Visual splendor, form over function? I didn't think so, every scene is a real location, and the story is enjoyable.
Leaving Las Vegas - Las Vegas, most people go there in the hopes of winning big, but not Nicolas Cage, he is ready to loose it all...or is he?
Philadelphia - Watching a movie about suing your boss, with a soundtrack featuring The Boss. It might even make you appreciate opera.
