"FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Project Trilogy Part 2

After escaping Midgar, the City of Mako, Cloud and his friends overcome the boundaries of faith and step into the unknown wasteland.

A vast world with many characteristics awaits, as well as a new story where you will run through fields on chocobos to freely explore points of interest.
■ Story
The lifestream forms the very cycle of existence, with all life born from the planet and all returning to its embrace. However, the sinister Shinra Electric Power Company extracts this vital life energy, spending it liberally as a fuel source called “mako”.

After a ferocious battle, Ex-SOLDIER Cloud Strife and his companions Tifa, Aerith, Barret and Red XIII escape the mako-powered city of Midgar to step out into the wide world. A journey across the planet begins - riding Chocobos across vast and trackless plains, visiting many familiar places in pursuit of the fallen hero Sephiroth, and the chase culminating in the party’s journey to “The Forgotten Capital” from the original FINAL FANTASY VII.

At the same time, SOLDIER 1st class Zack Fair drags his battered body across the wastelands leading into Midgar, supporting his dear friend who is delirious from severe mako poisoning. Beyond the boundary between life and death, he sees an ominous rift spreading across the heavens.

The Shinra Resistance Committee, a rising power led by the acting government of Wutai, declares war.
A group of mysterious figures veiled in dark black cloaks carry the remains of Jenova, the “Calamity from the Sky”, to ends unknown.
Sensing the planet’s encroaching crisis, the ancient guardians known as Weapons begin to awaken within the lifestream itself.

All while the machinations of Cloud’s sworn enemy, Sephiroth, cause countless fates to collide and entwine, and lo, destiny itself will be reborn again."

I saw your post on steam, but the content listed there is included in the Digital Deluxe Edition or is there other content missing? Or maybe the package was not available when they first created the page and got updated later so you missed it?

No problem, just wondering. It does seem bad that the bundle is the type were you don't get a discount for already owning part of it.

My mistake for thinking Kingdom Hearts will never come to steam, let me buy it on epic (and then 6 months later it came to steam).

Wasn't one of the issues with intergrade that it also was short (and i don't know if rebirth is)?

I don't know how long they already been busy, so if it takes another 5 years, who thought that would be a brilliant idea to split a game we all already know, that didn't even needed this, and then let someone wait a few years each time. I can't even think of tv shows doing that (several times).

I think my buddy kinda said he will get us both covered on getting me rebirth so i am good anyway, but does mean i have to finish intergrade first. :p

Square Enix PC ports are always late and expensive, and almost always have technical issues ( and/or butchered artwork in the case of older titles). On top of that this is a game that already sold much worse then its predecessor on consoles, and many people either lost interest after the first or don't want to play any of them until the entire series (trilogy?) is out.

Being a ff fan i was disappointed with intergrade (and 15 and 16), is this the same as intergrade? They also show very little of the gameplay in the trailer and screenshots.

Wasn't one of the issues with intergrade that it also was short (and i don't know if rebirth is)?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it and ff7 wasn't broken, the battle system wasn't broken and they tried to fix it.

On your first two links atleast i am getting the exact same prices they are on steam.

Normally square doesn't give such a bigger discount and gmg would been a lot cheaper (back with intergrade).

I have 43% on the first two as well, it's an XP offer tho, maybe that's why you're not seeing it
also as someone who bought this game on ps5 for full price, 40$ for it is a steal

GGD and ITAD don't factor in XP discount. It says historic low on GGD @ -30%.

I'm really hype by this one but even with 30% it's still very expensive ::(
Maybe thanks to the bundle I held back from buying in 2024... maybe.

Way too expensive for a game that's been out for over a year.
Feels like Square is just throwing PC gamers a bone "because they have to" and charging us the full price all over again.

They really aren't holding back on telling what happened in the last game.

O no spoilers for the remake of a game released in 1997.

Not that i was far into intergrade but aren't they going to retell parts of the story? Perhaps Aerith will not die this time?

Won't play. Honestly it's not anything like the old games. I'm not sure why they call it Final Fantasy any more, they have changed so much they should just make a new IP.
Would rather play the original on an emulator. In my opinion if they had done nothing other than replace the bogus polygon graphics that would have been a better remake. I wonder what idiot thought polygons were a good choice? I almost didn't play the original because of that. I was like WTF is this shit, think I'll stick to my SNES.

I am not even minding the graphics as much as how they felt the need to change the combat style (which started with ff15).
Instead of a little thinking, when to use a potion, when to use a limit etc etc, it's now just basically button mashing.

And can't speak about Rebirth but how the original FF7 was open world, FF15/FF16 are too much open world with it's 100+ npc quests making it almost a mmorpg like ff14, like they think that sells. Not to mention even the weird FF13.
But yeah final fantasy stopped being anything like the old games since that.

Yea I stopped with 13, not saying it was bad but it just didn't feel like Final Fantasy any more. Not just the battle system but that was the big thing, like you said there is no time to think anymore. The music and art style were big attractions for me in the first 9 games. At least they haven't butchered Dragon Quest, yet. I've been enjoying Octopath Traveler 1 and 2. Apparently they are still churning out Star Ocean games but I haven't played one of those since The Last Hope.

Bought it as soon as the steam page got up. It's one of the few games I'm looking forward to play in 2025, might even take a few days off to 100% it.
