Broken Age Part 2 is FINALLY here from Double Fine Games!

Gah! I kickstarted it WAaaaaaayyyyy back when at the $100 level. Now, I should be getting all my other goodies soon.

Forget all the crazy interwebz commentary and hangups - it is here! So, go re-install the game and play!

Bwah-hahahaaha! Only those of us that kickstarted the game get to play it before everyone else does. That means we get a few days to beat the whole game and enjoy the story before everyone else!

Giveaway can be found = HERE

So... some of you voted in the poll but did not leave a description as to what your 'other' flavor is... GAH! The curiosity is mean because no one explained!

What? No comments?

If I ain't getting any comments then I won't bother with forum giveaways in the future...

Most comments are in your giveaway, maybe that's also what their patience tastes like. :P

Yeah... I was wondering about that... but I am more excited for the second part of the game than I am finding out what the secret is over there.

Yes! That is the good news. After all this time and waiting, it is finished. I expect that everyone else who did not kickstart the game will be able enjoy the second half of the game in a week or less.

Woah, so finally they haven't taken money and frozen the project? Nice to know

Yep, it is over. No more crazy uproar over how long the project is taking or anything like that. We get the rest of the game, in full, as promised.

I <3 double fine productions.

Too bad no amount of patience can bring back Spacebase development.

Double Fine is forever banned from my wallet. But good news for everyone who backed Broken Age to get their money's worth.

Unfortunately, Spacebase was one of their short term projects they made on one of their 'holidays' ... but the players expected so much more from it - and the company got stuck doing something they did not intend to do as such a big project.

If its very hard for an independent game dev and publisher to do many projects and once.

They aren't really "independent" in the sense you are invoking the term.

However, let's agree to disagree from this juncture.

Usually when people pay you 25$ they expect a finished game, not a buggy unfinished mess. They scammed people and the only reason it didn't turn into a bigger shitstorm was that they gave out another game for free and it passed mostly unnoticed in the media due to all their media buddies sweeping it under the rug.

My patience tastes like lemon.

And I should've kickstarted the project, but I just never played the first one, and they looks really cool.

Special emails went out to those of us who kickstarted. The formal announcement for everyone else should be very soon - next couple of days I am guessing.

I backed this thing on Kickstarter and the upcoming release really doesn't bother me at all. Sorry, but never been more disappointed in anything than Broken Age. They delievered a casual tablet childs game instead of an oldschool adventure classic (as was promised). I couldn't care less about the second part (didn't even finish the first out of boredom) and was even thinking about just giving my redeem code for the second part away. I'm so sad at what it turned out to be...

Well, give it a try now since you have the code... then feel free to share your review here.

I like a lot of Tim Schafer's older games (still have to play Psychonauts) but after splitting Broken Age into 2 parts and financing part 2 through the sales of the first part (after they got 8x the money they asked for + the Spacebase 9 debacle) it's hard to be too psyched about it. I'm probably still gonna play it at some point but there's just too many other good adventure games I have to finish first.

I am hoping for an updated version of Day of the Tentacle and it's sequel. I missed out on them back in the day.

So do I. Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle and Zak McKracken are among those highly praised classics I never got around to play but I vaguely remember downloading an updated fan-made version of Maniac Mansion a few years ago.
