On the one hand, it's a game I really want..
On the other, I don't have anyone nearby to actually play it with me in local co-op.

Actually i don't think it will be much fun to play with someone in local co-op. You don't do much with the little light which i guess the second person uses.

You could.. uhm, I think shoot at enemies?
I know you could make mario bounce [and if timed right, double-jump], and collect stars for him while he platformed, relieving that stress on him.
Think you could also act as a guide pointer for him.
I dunno, I found it fun enough; I think it's a good mode for anyone that enjoys watching the action as much as playing it :)

As i can see, you do plently of things with that. In CoL with light you heal yourself or slow the enemies during turn-based combat and it's limited. So i guess star is slightly more in the game.

This glowing thing doesn't do much. During fight it can either slow down enemies or heal your characters (tho it's very slow process) + collect health/ mana regenerations (only way how I was using him).
Outside combat he opens special "lockers" and collect these health/mana regens.
But overall I thought it'd be extremely annoying if someone would control it instead of me xD

Well with this i will truly try to conivince you, not like to other times because this game i really want to play it, well, first of all, i am aching for a plataformer, its been so long since i played one to be honest, i am a lover of rpgs, i just finished undertale for the 5th times (just to see a single picture that i didnt saw last time), also the art style is AWESOME and seeing the screenshot i can see that i would spend a lot of time n the game, and as far as i know the plot seems to be quite good, to be honest the only thing that i dont think i would love about this game is... uplay and thats it :P

True that, the only other game that i have from uplay is Driver: San Francisco, and it is a pain to get it to work, and to be honest is not that good of a game

You give away awesome games in these, and I was thankful to be invited to the last on. Child of Light has been on my wishlist since November 19th, 2014. As with the last one (Ori), my main draw to this game is how beautiful it all looks. I am not against pixel or simple graphics, but I do also appreciate really nice looking games.

I tried playing the game, but was stopped by Ubisoft... seriously, I just can't get uPlay to work at all. I'll probably try again later, fingers crossed it'll finally work. I heard it's a beautiful game.

I won this game here, after installation it asked me to install uPlay. I had old accoun so I logged in and.... that's it. The game started smoothly.
Afterwards I choose "minimalise uPlay after opening it" and I hadn't had any problems with game / gameplay etc :D

Altogether great game, though in my opinion it never reached a climax and the ending felt kinda rushed.

This is a game that has been on and off my wishlist. Not because of the fact I don't truly want it just because of uplay ;D But man I add it again because I am a sucker for a great artstyle and every time I see a screenshot of this game I click add to wishlist and read through reviews about how amazing the gameplay and story is!

Well, there are 5,223 positive reviews on Steam giving it a "Very Positive" rating and 77/100 rating on Metacritic. Also it looks pretty good, and a fantasy RPG with a female protagonist sounds interesting. So I suppose that convinces me to play it. So now that I'm convinced, are you convinced that I'm convinced?
