Not with trading cards afaik, the cut is much less. So you coule, for example, ship drugs form party A to party B, while party B pays for the transaction by buying your trading cards you put up for $50,000 a piece - with Valve/Steam acting as the middleman to launder your money.

In other breaking news, I hear that some societies have developed a system whereby goods and services can be exchanged for pieces of paper and metal.
What will those crazy eggheads think of next?

The problem with transferring funds over the marketplace is that you lose 15% of the money in the process.
15% might not be a huge deal for €0,10 cards, but if you want to transfer like €20, it's a €3 loss already (and who's gonna pay that money, sender or receiver?)

Depending on how you look at it you can transfer funds to your friends now by putting a item on the marketplace and getting them to buy it.
