New type of giveaway?

That would be pretty nice... I think giving stuff away on Steamgifts is more fun than in a keydrop!

Not sure about the implementation though

• extra support (there will always be people complaining about not getting cv)
• there are already key drop threads for "free" games

Can always put up a thread asking for something in specific, then do a random.org draw or something like that on the people who joined. Sure, that means they gotta trust you're being fair about it, but hey, it's not like you HAVE to give things away, right?

Alternatively, consider dropping it as a tag-along in your next giveaway, Put "winner will also receive X" in your description. Worst case scenario your winner states they don't want it and you get to offer it to someone else on the next GA after that.

i would appreciate the idea. the site is for giving away games and not just for farming cv... and a free game can still be awesome like euro truck simulator or deponia... its a shame, if you cant make a giveaway for great games. even using a thread isnt a good replacement: you have to be very active or better: to use a bot to get the game... also: most keydrops you even dont know, what game it is... and if you want to check, if you want to get the game, it will waste some seconds so somebody other will be faster...i like the idea in making giveaways, where everbody can join and dont need to be online 24/7...

so far the best workaround is to check trades, see who wants it, friend them on steam, and dump the game on them as a gift.
I wish you could direct gift through SG to avoid having to do the friending thing though.
