I will start to care 25% if somehow xbox achievements linked to Steam achievements and vice versa.

As always, we can dream that buying games on one platform will equal to getting it on all platforms someday that will never come.

GOG already has such a system, but the time to redeem games you own on Steam is limited.

Yes... I have been playing Bridge Constructor Portal on the PC with the free game pass and got xbox achievos without owning an xbox xD

The only thing I've noticed it does so far is notify a friend on Xbox if you launch any titles that use Steamworks. He said that it says TacticaL is now playing Dota 2! etc, seems to only work with Steamworks games.

The Epic Games Launcher has the same thing, you can add friends from Facebook and Steam. So they can mine more data from more sources.
