Like button for giveaways and comments?
i think a like button on comments can be good, but nothing beyond that.
a person made a giveaway, the least you can do is show some appreciation, stop being lazy =p.
and there are tens or hundreds of thousands of ways to thank a person, gifs, memes, links to stuff, especially now since the new website is up.

Because what we really need is some more group-think.

if it happen, people will complain about the "emptyness" of the thanks given by those like etc.. like everyone already is complaining about facebook becoming a place for attentionwhore where people do every thing for a simple like. I may be wrong but i believe that most of the most generous people here are doing their giveaway .... generously ? they probably don't care if you "like" them, their giveaway , their comment, or not. As long as they made other people happy with their giveaway, if you are truly thankful, try to find the word to express it, otherwise do it like you feel id say^^
Though don't get me wrong i can understand that some person DO care about those little appreciation, when i make a giveaway, i am glad when i see people thanking me in comment or sharing their feeling toward the game etc, but just a "like" system would not change anything, i just consider that the number of people who join my giveaway to replace the like system, i see the number of people who are happily using their point for the shared game^^
Sorry for my english btw, idk why but i got the feeling to forget more and more of my english speaking even though i am using it almost daily..

God no.
you want to thank someone, write something meaningful. hitting like is the most stupidest and annoying thing i ever saw

Be honest: How long does it take to type "thank you"?
If you type that real' quick or switch to your mouse to move to a button and click it, there's really not much of a difference, time-wise.

I think there is enough drama as is, no need to make it worse with a "like" button ;)

My answer is a stern no, I don't think a like button has ever been a good addition to any site. :)

First of all, it's "YOU'RE welcome". I just hate seeing "your welcome" all the time. xD Hehe, anyway, first came the emojis, now the likes, it'll eventually become facebook, so better not. xD

YES! For comments. It would be perfect, but let's face it, it's never going to be implemented, especially because of all the butthurts in this forum with all the "I don't want SG to become Facebook." bullshit. :/

I've noticed that there is not an easy way to appreciate a giveaway or comment. You can comment on a giveaway with "Thanks" for appreciation or comment on comments with "You're welcome", "Haha", etc. etc. This could be made easier, allowing people to show gratitude easier and without typing thank you and your welcome over and over (try being creative after doing so several times :-P).
My suggestion therefore is to implement a simple 'Like' button for giveaways and comments in posts (maybe for giveaways this could be 'Thank you'). I'm curious what you think about this.
