There were a couple of deals when I tried figuring out if I should risk buying it or not. There were deals on GMG, Amazon and on SteamBlackMarket. GMG and Amazon were 100% Steam keys, but about the latter one, I don't really know. Can't remember the prices, but they were really cheap.

The thing is that a friend of mine who lives in Latvia as well received the same game via Steam trade, by winning in a contest and she played it without problems. I just thought that this applies only to giftable copies and not the cd-key ones.

Hi all!
Ok, so there have been threads similar to this one, but I will ask this question again.
If, for example, I have bought a cd-key (Batman: Arkham City) which is region locked (Latvia) for me. Logically I wouldn't be able to activate this key, right? So, my question is could it work in a trick like this, that a friend of mine, who lives in a country in which this game is not region locked, would be able to activate it for me and afterwards I could play the game in my country?
