As topic says...if we have successfully contributed 9.99$ in a giveaway...and now if some giveaway is of 10$ then we can't enter that just because of difference of one cent...It might seem little bit greedy but in other way I have a kind of feeling which I can't explain... So it is my humble request to contributor giveaway organizers to consider such things. I am not any kinda forcing...it is just a request!
Instead of 10$ -> 9.99$
20$ -> 19.98$ or something like dat...

[If this post is not appropiate then feel free to tell me, I'll remove it myself...because removal of my posts happens to me all the time even though my intention is not bad! ]

Chill Bill! :)
I personally wouldn't object to a 1c across-the-board lee-way but yeah, it's easier just to leave it as it is; giveaway creators can already create it as a $9.99 giveaway.

what if they set it to $9.99 but some people only have $9.98 like if they contributed 2 $4.99 games

If I only gave 10 Fortices, then I'd be stuck at $9.90 :`(

give away fortix problem solved

I thought that the contribution required should be equivalent to the amount of the game x the amount of want. i.e. if Skyrim is $59.99 or $60 for simplicity's sake and theres who want it then the contribution equation would be something like 60 * Active users that want/total ACTIVE users = $ amount cont required for entry.

I'm considering doing this manually in future for my contributor giveaways but I think it should be up to the giveaway creator. I can appreciate how annoying it must be to miss out on being able to enter a giveaway for the sake of ~10 cents.

I'd say if you are within a 25cents you should get it.

I would say no, but you could always try to get people making giveaways to make them 9.99 instead of $10.

This shouldn't have mattered anyway. One will always be missing out on giveaways by mere cents regardless it's 9.99/10 or 24.99/25 etc. It doesn't meant the 'giver' should have to specifically cater to such otherwise, the contribution limit will lose it's purpose.

This is actually to encourage you to give a fortix.

The whole point of contributor giveaways is to encourage you to make more giveaways, so why change it? At the end eveyone profits from the current system and I think it should stay that way.

Make it 9.99$ and those with contribution amount of 9.98$ will be pissed off. Make it 9.98$ and then those with 9.97$ will be left out of boat. And what, should it also be 0.00$ instead of 0.01$ just because someone is one cent apart from entering something?
CG were implemented specifically so giveaway might have only entries of the particular users with said amount of contributions being made. It was designed to set limits and you say it must have less limits? It's like to complain about group/private giveaways, that not everyone is able to see them.
Am I wrong?

Not inappropriate, but it is up to each giveaway creator to choose his target contributor amount.

Nah...if the maker wanted it to be $9.99 they would make it that way.

I completely agree. $1,042.57 giveaways should totally be $1,042.56! Anything else is so unfair towards us!
