Won a giveaway but it was already activated and steamdb says its not even the right game

Not sure what to do, I tried activating the key but SteamDB extension says its been activated by a different steam account and that it was for another game entirely. The giveaway user seems to have a credible history of giveaways so to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe they mixed up the keys or someone traded them a fake key. Do I reach out to them or is there other steps I have to take before that?
