Is a DLC filter a good idea? ( Where it will let you see only DLC content that you can enter)
I don't know if it will get included in a tag-based search that will come to the site sometimes but until then you can use the https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaways/search?dlc=true search parameters I guess

Yeah, it already exists only it has zero visibility :/

That's a limitation of the Steam API, just click the little eye icon next to the name to hide all giveaways for that item.

It'll only hide giveaways for that particular DLC not all DLC, and if you already own said DLC then you don't really need to see it.

There's totally no other way around it. And SG can't do anything about it as thegodoftitsandwine said above.

If you can't handle one button press as and when you see a dlc you already own you have bigger problems.

Anywhere but Steam is irrelevant, you can't win DLC for those games here. Of those 500 you can ignore any that don't have DLC, the of the remainder you can ignore any DLC you don't own as you'll still likely want to enter those. It's not like you even have to go searching for them just hide them from the front page as and when you see them.

What I think would be cool is if for packages/bundles (not sure if I have the correct name but 1 GA that contains a Steam game + DLCs)... if there was an option when creating the GA that you could check that would block users that have the base game from entering the GA. This would cut down on so many support tickets and also make life much much easier for folks trying to give away bundles while still allowing GA's to be created which allow entering only for DLCs.
I think on the implementation side it would basically require keeping track of associations on the SG side though (as opposed to a simple api query) so probably no dice purely because of that unless the existing apis allow one to query what the base game of a package is (I assume they do not... as some packages include multiple games).

Similar to the Favorites or Recommended a tag that showed only DLC that you can enter to win.
An alternative would be where users can search by genre/tag. Where DLC was a search tag available to search for
