I'm now at the physiotherapy clinic (will be there for 21 days) and will do exercises twice a day. Right now I can use a walker, then it will be off to crutches and then hopefully I will be able to walk on my own (but it will take time to get to that point). Also, as it turns out, the guy that hit me with his car tried to flee the scene at first but his car tire exploded shortly after so he decided to come back to the scene of the accident. What a nice guy

Ouch, I hope there won't be any after effect for you !

Small but important update: I can use crutches starting today. No balancing problems and I can walk with them just fine. So yay me!

Hey, Xarabas! I'm glad to hear that you are healing up from the accident. I'd not seen anything about it since I saw your original post about it.
Cheers & Enjoy Your Backlog!

Super secret teaser trailer for my upcoming autonomous walking feature:
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the progress so far. I'm getting released from the clinic on Tuesday so yay, looking forward to video games again. What are you all getting me as presents for my homecoming?

This is great news. I am so happy so see you back on your feet. (I only saw this thread now.)
After my own experience with back surgery last year, I can absolutely feel some of your pain, so I am wishing you a speedy recovery.

Welcome home! I just saw the video of you walking with crutches, I'm glad you're walking! Did they give you an estimated time on how long you'll need them?

A year, maybe less. I can already walk without crutches in my house

Hi now at home, I'm adam!
just watched The Taking of Deborah Logan, IMDB's 6.0 is fitting overall. I would give more if they leave out the supernatural stuff. While it was interesting in a way, the "natural deterioration" was a LOT more creepy and effective than spirits and rituals.
Especially that I had a few weeks-months over the past year when I had to live in one household with a senile old man. Getting yelled at for something that he perceived and was nowhere real or accurate, then also getting accused by family with lying leaves a mark, and made the more uncomfortably familiar at points.

Holy crap...glad that you're still with us! Man, 2020...what a dumpster fire full of cat turds.
But, I suppose as long as we're on the right side of the dirt, we should all celebrate. I like your attitude! :)
Glad to hear you're on the mend!

Holy shit, I've been pretty much clicking Deals like a lazy ass this whole time. I hope you get better fast.
And now that you can ride your bike again, maybe you should get revenge and ride over his truck?

It was a car that hit me. But considering that he has a hefty lawsuit coming his way + some prison time (since there were multiple witnesses observing him trying to run away after hitting me), I just need to sit back and wait

Oh very good (that there were enough witnesses). I hope the legal part doesn't take too long either. All joking aside, really wishing you the best. <3

Died from a heart failure a year later (results from excessive drinking) so good riddance

At first, I was like, "who necro'd this thread?" 😆
But glad to see that it's you and that you're finally going to get to close the book on this one! I know this last part kind of sucks, but at least we're talking about uncomfortable recovery as opposed to an ongoing chronic condition.
Super happy to see you're on the mend!

How's the 2020 going for you so far?
I had a pretty decent year except for the first week of September where I got hit by a drunk driver ( I was on a bicycle, he was behind a wheel). I got one spinal ring crushed on a spot, pelvic bone was smashed as well and had a ton of internal bleeding. That all happened on September 12 (dude had 1.7 of promiles of alcohol in his blood btw). Good news is that I can feel my legs and I'll be able yo walk eventually. But it's a long road til I get there.
On a plus side, once I be able to sit straight, I'll have a huge backlog of AAA games to play and enjoy. Cheers!
