Humble cancel all my purchases -.-
I need help with that... :/
Comment has been collapsed.
Last year i paid the at around december 21, now i paid for 1 more year, i should have 13 months then not? Yet it shows in my subscription plan 12 months. (unless their counter is stuck at showing 12 months) OR i got the december bundle after i paid in december (can't really remember) if that's still possible
Not sure if contacting their support is smart (since they are so eager to ban people) and this deal techinically not to be used each year?
Comment has been collapsed.
Did you already redeem the November games? And did you redeem every month before? Because buying in December '21 means the 12 months end with November '22 as long as you redeem every month. Unless you redeemed December '21 from a previous subscription.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, i redeemed the november games already and i redeem them every month (yeah i never paused).
I never been good at maths, so what you saying probably is right. Thanks. i am sure Humble does things right in the end.
I just thought before claiming november 3 weeks ago i saw 2 months left, but it could just be my bad memory again and perhaps been wrong.
Comment has been collapsed.
In that case it all depends on if you bought December 2021 BEFORE buying the yearly subscription or WITH the yearly subscription.
And in general it might make it easier to remember when thinking of a calendar year. That also starts with January and ends with December, not with January. A full set of 12 months will never feature the same month twice.
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't really remember, i only know i struggled making it work at first (like cancelling the current subscription like three times).
In the end i had to put in money in my paypal wallet, although now this time not (and suprised it went through like that).
I also kinda did expect this deal would come in december like all the other previous years, and not now already. Also because right now i have to pay a kitchen too upfront for my new place, and december would also been better.
They also charged me about 1,70 euro more then last year.
It's what it's is. I also could have just gambled on getting coupons, but it seems they are so completely random for people, and just seems like a fuss each month. 87 euro for 12 months of games is still a pretty nice deal.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, with a bit if coupon luck you might save a few Euros per year, but it requires more effort. And since you redeem every month anyways, I can totally understand taking the yearly offer. I am contemplating it as well. I might take the 7€ coupon offer for this month and then get the yearly as a gift to myself and start redeeming it in December.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, you definitely should.
Just my moving got way out of hand then i expected financially, stuff for kitchen 1100 euro, a floor and getting it laid 1000 (i don't have anyone handy in the family nor myself) and then just basic stuff like a fridge, bed, table, chairs etc.
I seriously got no clue right now if i have to scrape every dime after the move or there will be some room left to save (for stuff).
I am just too much of a hardcore gamer (and stubborn) i guess to completely get it taken away from me.
Comment has been collapsed.
Well i wish, but it has 1 bedroom (also signed up for two, but there is already a 12 year waiting list as it is, and you only get such flats i think when you are atleast with 2 people (and a kid).
So if i would get into a relationship, and get a kid (which i really wish) then it could become a problem (you can put a crib in the bedroom/living room for the first so years). Unless i stay alone forever (which i hope not).
Then if you move you have to strip everything if the next tennant desires to or if they agree with it you can settle an amount for them to pay.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah you are right, i would be the first to say and live by carpe diem that there is no use in worrying about the future, it comes as it goes. Although i heard from a female friend a friend of hers got together and like within 3 months a kid, so that could technically happen. :p
A relationship actually even has to happen, for now i gave up on it, because when you live(d) at home without a job offcourse 99% of the women will run away, atleast 1 hurdle will be taken now, and so many are losing their job these days it's almost "normal".
And perhaps in a building with more people under wellfare maybe there is a woman they would understand me, and we could for some time have a living apart together sort of thing even. And yeah maybe her family is more helpful.
My fathers side completely got cut off after his passing (his brothers/sisters are also 60-80, so not like they could have been helpful), my dad was the superhandy man, so i miss that too without him. it could have saved a lot of money.
Comment has been collapsed.
I did get a 5€ and a 6€ coupon once each and I did get some coupon basically every month. But with some of them being for 8€ or 9€ and all the hassle with pausing and waiting and sometimes even having to consider, if I don't pause or if after having paused buying it early without a coupon just to get my 20% off in the store, it's just not worh it.
I just bought it as a gift. I will still wait and see if I get an even better offer for this month than the 7€ coupon I already have. And I will probably pause and wait for a coupon in December and the following months as well. As long as I get a coupon that is better than 7,25€, redemption of the annual gift can wait a bit longer. ^^

Worked for me on Classic plan from Europe. Bought as gift, clicked link in email, redeemed myself => new billing date March 2024.

In this thread are people who bought it as a gift and redeemed it themselves on top of old Classic subscriptions as well as newer yearly Choice subscriptions and in some cases with multiple months left to their current subscription so it's not a general problem. And: yes, the gift link does not expire. And if it doesn't work then, you can still complain to Humble support.

But if you're that unsure, just wait for the response from support.

subbed since the first choice, but USA here.
gifted to myself just fine.
if I recall correctly, last time I checked, which was a long time ago, you can have the sub up to two(?) years in the future, so if adding another year is pushing you past that, then maybe that's why it isn't working.

When I used one of the twelve tokens to unlock November games, I got my 20% discount on store back. The plan changes from classic annual to annual but there is no difference anymore, other than you pay in your regional currency instead of USD. There is no point in staying on classic plan anymore, since the number of unlocked games is the same, unlike when the new plans started.

You can buy them individually while they're up. You can set sliders for publisher, charity donation and Humble. And you can pay more to donate if you want.
Humble Choice:

Monthly subscription service where on the first tuesday of a month the current lineup is revealed and you have until the last tuesday of the month to decide, if you want to take it (pay for it or use a token if you have an annual subscription or similar) or skip the month. If you didn't pause, you will get auto-charged on that day. There is some other benefits as well.

Gift link worked for me too. Currently on Classic Annual plan and was due end of November, 2022.
After gifting and redeeming: "Your next bill is for US$129 on November 28, 2023."
Not sure why it's shown in USD as regional pricing for EU is €109.
Also it does immediately unlock the November bundle as seen from the billing information:
Date Description Payment Method Total
November 13, 2022 Unlocked November 2022 Humble Choice - -
November 13, 2022 Received 12-Month Classic Plan - -
November 13, 2022 Gifted Annual Plan PayPal €87.00

Whats happen if someone gifts this annual subscription to your banned account (it logins, works but you cant buy)??? have someone try it???
i have another question, after your pay this annual subscription with credit card... can you remove the credit card? i dont want forget after one year this subscription.
Comment has been collapsed.
I am on the classic plan. I have not redeemed November yet and still I got this error: "Cannot Redeem
We're sorry, this gift is incompatible with your current membership plan and can't be applied to your account." I have done everything as instructed.
I have tried to use it on differen browser and login with same results. My next 12-month auto-payment is due later this month.
Comment has been collapsed.
You lose it (or rather you'd get 10% instead and would have to work your way up to 20% again) only if you don't buy November which you would do afterwards with the gifted subscription. I have cancelled every single month this year to wait for a coupon. And while I didn't have any store discount during the days the account was in cancelled state, I always got my 20% back after resubscribing later each month.
Comment has been collapsed.
It kinda worked. I have cancelled membership, used link, re-joined membership by using one of those 12 tokens on this month (11 left) and next billing is due November 28, 2023. So I only lost a bit cheaper anual charge (like 1 dollar from US pricing to EU) and that prestige "classic" plan, which was useless for quite some time now. Store discount is still 20% off.
P.S. for others, I have tried to add debit card and remove PayPal before cancelling and that did not help. Still got the same error.

Paypal has 5% cash back on Humble Bundle purchases, Chase freedom also gives 5% back on any paypal purchases this quarter. $80 for 12 months is a great deal.

Not really. There is just amount, order ID and the link for Humble Support. Also I do remember that there normally are two mails with every Humble order, one is the receipt and one is „your order is ready“. The second one is missing for me and I contacted support an hour ago because of this.

I just checked: I only ever get one mail per purchase from Humble, no matter if it's Choice, bundles or store purchases. Are you sure you bought it as a gift? What is the subject of the email you received? I bought it as a gift yesterday and I only received one mail as per usual (in german, but judging by your name, that shouldn't be a problem):

That is exactly the one I am missing. And yes, German is no problem but for some reason my account was English from the beginning and I never changed it.
The subject of my email is „Your Humble Bundle receipt [#16xx]“ and it just contains the order ID, amount paid, info on the credit card used and the product bought which says „Humble Choice Annual Plan Gift“.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok, then that might be the difference. I am paying via Paypal and I always only get one mail from Humble and one from Paypal. Could it be that this mail is from your credit card company rather than from Humble directly?
And since it clearly says "Gift" in the receipt mail, that question has also been answered.
I am sure you have already looked in the spam folder? Humble support will surely be able to fix this then.

Hey thanks a lot for this! Really good deal, surprisingly!
Comment has been collapsed.
You don't lose the 20% by pausing, as long as in the end you buy every month. You just don't have access to the store discount WHILE you're paused, which always was the case. But the annual offer is still good and eliminates the effort needed for pausing/unpausing every month.
Comment has been collapsed.
If lucky, pausing could give you a better deal than $7.42 per month but like I said: that requires continous effort in pausing / unpausing every month, so it's totally understandable to take that annual offer. I just wanted to clear up the misunderstanding of how keeping / losing that 20% discount works.
But to put some general math to the "I don't want to lose the 20% discount so I buy Choice every month no matter what" thought:
Losing the 20% store discount by actually skipping a month would mean "only" getting 10% instead while being subscribed. So it's just 10% difference. To make it worth buying a month just to keep the 20% discount, even though you're not interested in the games, it would require you to buy enough in the store so that the 10% extra discount at least equals the monthly fee.
With the offer of $89 for 12 months, that would be $7.42 per month. Meaning: for EVERY month that you ONLY buy to keep the 20% store discount, even though you're not interested in the games at all, you would have to buy games for at least $74.42 in the store in that year to make it worth.
Of course, most of the times it's not THAT easy and you might be interested in maybe 1-3 of the games or so and sometimes those games alone might be worth the $7.42. But it gives you a general perspective on if it really makes sense to buy a month just to keep that +10% discount.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm not trying to make you feel bad. I'm also not saying what you did was wrong or dumb or anything. I also bought the annual plan yesterday. And I have bought every Choice month since December 2021. I'm just trying to help you (and potentially others) make an informed decision. :D

While I haven't tried out this exact thing, I am pretty sure, if you buy the month manually AFTER the auto charge date (so between the last tuesday of said month and the first tuesday of the next month), you would still regain the 20% discount.
Comment has been collapsed.
Let me know if you've tried it out. I'm quoting from the FAQ so I would rely on that unless proven otherwise:
If you choose to skip a month of Humble Choice, your growing discount rate will only be reset during the auto-billing date for that month (the last Tuesday of the month).
If you choose to resume your membership before this date and end up purchasing the current month of Choice, your growing discount will not reset!
Comment has been collapsed.
Hm, sounds unfair and if it happened to me, I would probably bother support about it untill they reset it manually. ^^
I am trying to remember... I think I might even have had that situation a couple of months ago and it didn't reset, but I am not sure enough to call that a try.
Comment has been collapsed.
Let me know if you've tried it out.
I can confirm I previously bought the bundle during the last day it was available and the discount wasn't reset, nor should it be since, technically, you're buying the monthly and thus maintaining your subscription and keeping said discount. Not sure if their wording is just a scare tactic, it was a bug or if it has anything to do with the fact my membership was canceled at the time, but their FAQ statement didn't apply, nor does it make any sense to apply if you think about it, since as long as you buy the bundle you should be fine because there is no gap in your subscription, therefore no reason to lose that "perk".
Comment has been collapsed.
You just don't have access to the store discount WHILE you're paused, which always was the case.
Slight addition: If you bought the current month and then paused you should still have access to the store discount until the current month expires.
Comment has been collapsed.
True. That pause technically only starts with the release of next months lineup. I have however read a couple of times that people got unpaused automatically when doing that. Not sure if true, but in that case pausing after buying that month would basically do absolutely nothing.
Comment has been collapsed.
I have however read a couple of times that people got unpaused automatically when doing that.
While I didn't experience this, I'm aware some experienced those random "bugs" that unpaused them. Others just expected their subscription to stay paused until they decide otherwise and were surprised when they got charged for the next month.
All in all, I think it's common sense with Humble to triple check your sub status close to the autocharge date, if you don't want the bundle and your subscription is paused, otherwise surprises can and do happen.
Comment has been collapsed.
i still have 6 month left from my annual subscription i did 2 years ago. doesnt seem it is worth it anymore. the quality dropped significantly. less triple a games, less games in total. also you dont have a choice anymore. they should rename it too.
Comment has been collapsed.
I gifted myself 12 months with no problems on a classic sub still. Already had 7 months left from last time i did this but i feel like im less picky with choice these days and grabbed most of them this year so probably worth getting another 12 months.
Comment has been collapsed.
You should be able to see the next billing date when clicking "manage your subscription" on https://www.humblebundle.com/user/settings. The next billing date is the first month you wouldn't have a token for if you spent all of them starting now. I don't remember if it actually says "xx tokens left" anywhere.

Hmm I just tried and it doesn't work. My sub expires late december.
"Cannot Redeem We're sorry, this gift is incompatible with your current membership plan and can't be applied to your account."
Can we see a screenshot of yours where it says classic annual? How did you redeem? Was your plan active?
Comment has been collapsed.
I guess it makes sense if you're on a monthly plan, because even if you bought november already, you don't have any remaining months and you gotta pay for december monthly basically, so in that kinda case, it makes sense it would work. It just wont work with people who's annual classic plan hasn't ended yet, or maybe wasn't paused or canceled or something. At least where I'm from. There's multiple confirmations for that in this thread.
Comment has been collapsed.
To be honest, it's a bit like gambling. We don't know the content of future bundles, we don't know if Humble will last 12 more months. Heck, we don't even know if Putin will kill us all by pushing the red button :D
On the other hand, Humble monthly Choice bundles are usually good enough to justify the 7,25€ it costs with this offer, and you can even pause when a month is not good enough for you.
I do agree that 87€ in one payment might seem a lot (Paypal lets you split it in three monthly payments of 29€) but, overall, it's a nice offer (IMHO).
