Same here. I used $7 offer for this month and picked 12 month gift subscription. Question: is it okay to use 12 month gift subscription now or later when this month ends (when I picked this month for $7 offer)? I was thinking if I use now 12 month gift subscription, won't I lose one month from 12 month gift subscription because I used $7 offer for this month?
Also, I received email from HB. It is saying:

The gift link does not expire and it is no problem to redeem it yourself. Personally I will also take the $7 / 7€ offer for this month and I already bought the annual offer as a gift. But I will wait and see if I get a better coupon for december (less than $7.25 / 7,25€) and maybe even the following months before redeeming the gift subscription.

It doesn't really make a difference if you pause or cancel to wait for a coupon. I pause shortly after the new games are revealed and wait for a coupon and most of the times I do get one. Shortly before the auto-charge date, I decide if I want to buy it or not. And if I need the store discount in the meantime, I unpause for a few minutes to buy something with it and then I pause again.

I contacted their support last month, and it took 7 business days (11 days total) for them to get back to me. I believe they tell you it can take up to 10 business days for a response.
This was during their game key drama with the RPG Legends: Baldurs Gate & Beyond bundle though, and I'm sure they were getting at least 5 times as many support tickets as usual, so hopefully you won't have to wait as long as I did.

I just wanted to further confirm others' reports that you can take advantage of this offer if you are on the classic annual plan. I've been an annual subscriber of the Monthly since its inception and was able to purchase this as a gift and then gift it to myself. I had not activated my November choices prior to this, so if you already have, you should be able to hold on to your gift and then gift it to yourself when the December bundle rolls around. Hope this helps some other classic annual subscribers who have been taken for granted by Humble and left to watch a lot of good deals go by.

You might be recalling when skipping... something, I don't remember what... would lose you the "Classic" status, which allowed you to choose more games from the selection than the other levels.
However, that's since become irrelevant, and was mostly irrelevant even when it was a thing, since they "allowed" most purchasers to select all of the games every month anyway, with the non-classic top tier.

was kinda tempted, but there's a slight change following the direct link. few days ago it auto-selected the gift option, now it don't. also a notice appeared:

Question, if i gift this to someone. Who has to cancel the renew of the subscription, the one who bougth it or the one who receive it? About gifts to a different account than your own:
If purchasing it as a gift, payments will not recur.
This means you will not be charged again once your friend's membership runs out.

If what Humble support told me (since I have the same problem) is true we will be able to redeem it next month

I just managed to redeem it.
I tried it failed, I reopened the ticket and they said
"Hello,
It seems it was because you still had an active membership which was blocking you from redeeming.
Can you please try again now, and tell me if it works?"
And it worked so I am guessing they canceled my sub for a second. I still have 20% discount if that interests you and I am still Plan Type: Classic Annual

If you directly bought the annual offer or bought it as a gift and redeemed it already, you automatically bought November Choice.
The annual plan is considered to be multi-month, where 12 full months are paid for upfront. Purchasing the 12-month plan will give you credits that you can use as payment tokens for a future month of Humble Choice. As a note - you will automatically unlock the current month (there is no way to avoid this) when making your annual plan purchase.

I was unable to activate gift before claiming December games nor after that. Then by mistake I paid full price for the whole next year and tried after that - it worked (now I have sub to December 2024 :D)
However I was on "Classic" plan and now it says "Annual" :(
