Its a nice for software use imho, sometimes you just want a lower or higher setting, i never use it in game though, and usually the switches are in places where you dont acidentally hit them.
And if it really bothers you, just use the same dpi setting for all steps, problem solved ;)

I just can't control touchpads at all. When I first played on touchpad at my friends house, he was laughing entire time because it was doing wierd and glitchy things. From that time, I never use touchpads. Never.

M'kay. So I have been looking at these gaming mice. And they have DPI switches. But it don't make no sense. What if I accidentally tap the DPI button and then I mess up in TF2. Why not just 1 DPI setting?
