BioShock: The Collection – info on how to upgrade your copy on Steam, and specs detailed

What, the original versions are replaced by these?

Excited to play them again... all them remakes coming out for free for previous owners is a nice development towards customer friendliness from the studios. I like it :).

I bought Bioshock Triple pack (package only has Bioshock 1, 2, and infinite base game) back in the day but haven't bought the dlc for each game yet. Do I need to buy the dlc in order to get the remastered version for free? And is there a cut off date for the remastered ver. in case I need to own all dlc's?

What gets upgraded on PC?

BioShock ➜ BioShock remastered including the unlockable video series, Director’s Commentary: Imagining BioShock
BioShock 2 ➜ BioShock 2 remastered
BioShock 2: Minerva’s Den ➜ BioShock 2: Minerva’s Den remastered

BIOSHOCK ON STEAM: If you already own BioShock, BioShock 2, or Minerva’s Den on Steam, the remastered version for the corresponding title will automatically show up in your Steam library as a separate game. You can expect to see the remastered titles begin rolling out in Steam libraries starting at 3pm PT on September 15, 2016 (find out what time that is in your timezone). Once it shows up, you can choose to install the original version or the remastered version.

I was wondering how they were going to package everything since it was announced as one big package containing all three games.
Looks like I will need to wait for a good Season Pass deal for Bioshock Infinite :)

I assume it'll be the case, but anyone knows if the old ones will disappear from the store?

But are saved transferable from the original to the remaster?

Will I get the remastered version if I buy any of the titles after the release date or do I have to own them already prior to release to be eligible to get them for free?

This mysterious Steam Sub 125555 looks like the Complete Collection. It seems the buyers will receive both the remastered and the original games with all DLCs. Notice this:

I suppose BeachTree is Bioshock remastered, BeachTree2 is Bioshock 2 remastered and "Unknown App 525720" is Minerva's Den DLC remastered.

Does anyone know where to buy BioShock 1 & 2 + DLC for very cheap? when I was checking Minerva’s Den DLC was never cheap anywhere!

Thanks for the info, i was wondering how that would be done. I have bioshock 2, and i never played it cause i was waiting for the remake. Cant wait for the 15th!

Of course it comes out on 15th for PC :( I have a 10:30AM early release from school on the 14th and was looking forward to spending all day playing them. I guess I'll just keep playing Road to Gehenna.

BioShock: Infinite owners on PC are not getting an upgrade because the game is only three years old, and already optimized.
