AFAIK most of the DLC is just "unlock DLC", items/skills you get during normal game progression. And a bunch for multiplayer stuff. There are a few "exclusive" items for single player campaign (3 weapons from Hitman games)

Haven't tried any of the multiplayer stuff, but for the single-player game just get the Tomb of the Lost Adventurer - everything else is either different clothes or upgrades you get by actually, you know, playing the game. :)

Two words for you: Square-Enix (or that would be one?)

Their games are often discounted and the base price also drop quite quickly.
