[MODERATOR REQUEST] Could you change the game given? (If the taboo is met)

My giveaway has a taboo; a consequence if met.
If there are 10 comments saying 'thanks', I will only be giving away Gun Monkeys, instead of the promised Dungeon Defenders.

Here's my problem:

There's already 6/10 comments. That taboo may happen very soon.
Could I ask a moderator (or admin) to change the given game to Gun Monkeys IF the taboo is met?
(So that it's fair that it counts that I've sent Gun Monkeys instead of Dungeon Defenders, when it explicitly stated that 10 'thanks' comments would lead to a lesser game to be sent instead?)

If all goes well; no more taboo comments, I'll be sending Gun Monkeys AND Dungeon Defenders as promised.

You can't make such rules. Either deliver the damn game you promised or just get the "not received" mark.

Or deliver Gun Monkeys plus the game you promised. That's all.

Also support isn't supposed to answer in the forums. If you want to submit a request do it via a support ticket. But don't do it for this matter as it will mean waste support's time and just get "no" for an answer.

edit : special rules can only be used for private giveaways. Also, they need to be approved by support first, and I doubt they would allow that one.

Don't worry; I'll be (as stated) still delivering it, only to those who meet the conditions of entering the second giveaway when the taboo is met. (Of course, it's private; just whitelisted to those who followed the rules when commenting)

Also, thanks for pointing that out. I only realized there was a support.

I didn't see it was private.

Did you have your special rule approved by support beforehand ? If not, your rule is void and you can't ask for a reroll if a winner who only said "thanks" is selected.

k. I'll give it some random dumb person (not saying that the person will 100% of the time fit into the category).
I only want to reward those who follow rules, but you guys clearly want me to reward those who don't.
Anyway, support ticket sent.

EDIT: And I never knew about that rule; only the main "don't don't-send and keep clean/nice/whatever".

It's not that "we don't want", it's simply about how the site works. Had you read the FAQ, it probably was covered somewhere. So, in our current case, you're the one who doesn't follow the rules.

I did when I helped translating it. By the way, just noticed the translations are nowhere to be found right now.

edit : I was referring to the old FAQ that had that part covered indeed : "Extraneous/special rules for giveaways require moderator approval. Public giveaways cannot have any special rules."

I guess they forgot it in the recent version.

Support wouldn't have approved such a rule as the gift given wouldn't match the giveaeay. Furthermore if they did change the giveaway it'd potetentially cause more issues if the winners had the other game.

Your only option is to whitelist the people you want in - and then delete the giveaway before it ends. All your crazy talk about changing game and rerolling just isn't gonna happen :p

Moderator requests are done through support, not through the forum. Please use the support section next time.

As for your request, no, a game won't be changed for that reason. If anything, if you misinterpreted the giveaway and plan to give away another title, you might have issues with your account.
