does somebody know if you get a BL2 normal version to gift if you already own a BL2 normal and activate a goty?

I would guess no, but some games (mostly valve's own) give you an extra copy if you already own it

I seriously doubt it. It would probably just upgrade you to GOTY and that's it.

It's EXTREMELY rare that that occurs, valve games (owning l4d1 then getting 1 and 2 pack gives you a spare 1 iirc, stuff like that) and the occasional bundle does it.

Wow, how long is the BL2 GOTY deal on for?
I already own BL2, what happens if I activated the GOTY?
Also, mac steam keys work for PC?

EDIT: Says 4 days left on the sale...maybe I can find a good deal on SteamTrades.

The PC version of BL2 was on sale last week but isn't now

This says otherwise
Steamworks keys activate regardless of the OS you are running apparently.

Pretty much all steamwork games run on both OSs. The only exception is the Call of Duty games.

Awesome, thanks. I think I'll get it then :)

Well, then it isn't "games", its just "game", as Black Ops is the only that has separate versions on steam....

Well just looked it up again, and it seems that I was meaning that the old COD Modern Warfare 1 is only Mac

Is it true all the BL2 DLC sucks? Heard it a few times but wasn't sure if majority agreed or not.

Apparently all the DLC was outsourced to other companies.

Personally I found the DLCs in the Season Pass/GoTY to be really enjoyable.
The 3-rd DLC kinda drags on a little and doesn't get anywhere and I guess some people might not like the 1-st one, but the 2-nd and 4-th one are definitely a must. Also humor's there in all of them and that's what's most important, right (ok, for me at least)? :D
(I can't say anything for the Headhunter DLCs since I didn't bother getting them.)

But, hey, I've played this game waaaaay too much, so I guess I might be kinda biased. O_o

Are you sure that Black Ops is only for mac?? I heard that if you buy a mac key and activate it on Steam you can still play if you run windows

You can see on the Steam store that there are two separate entries for the game.

Yes, I am quite sure. As someone else pointed out, there are 2 separate pages on the Steam store for Black Ops -- one for PC and another for Mac. Black Ops II on the other hand is a different story.

That sounds odd to me because that is right around $8.50, which means that they would be making almost no profit, if any. Seems a bit suspicious.

Eh sounds about right. I used to do about the same rate in ST ~ 1.90 - 2.00 per key.

*Edit - Post might look like a trade offer but it's not. Don't add me. >.> The keyword in that sentence is "used to". Go lurk around ST. Plenty of people might do that kind of rate.

Vouching for this, just bought BL2 GOTY (windows). However PayPal conversion rate was different so it charged me $8.78 instead of $8.49.

Nevermind though, great deal! Thank you.

no problem, figured I'd share

I used the currency conversion rates from http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/ so it may vary slightly, hence the "~" in front of the prices, which means "about" or "approximately"
