Give the creator the gift back and say that You'll burn his house with region restricted gifts!

There is no question section, so a lot of people put their questions into puzzles.

Well, the giveaway creator has to give away a game that can be redeemed everywhere. So if he has not done, wait for 7 days and mark it as not received. Nothing more you can do here.

Ask the creator to provide you with a region free copy you can activate. If he cannot do so or refuses, wait for 7 days and then mark as not recieved.

Contact the ga creator and tell him/her about it. If, within a week of GA end, he/she hasn't given you a row gift, simply mark as not received.
EDIT: noooooo, ninjaed twice :( My ninja skills need more training!

While creators shouldn't host giveaway with region restricted item, many times the winners are also responsible for not reading the description (if stated that item is region restricted) before entering.

I'm pretty sure GA's description can't overwrite the rules

On the other hand, many times "helpful" advice givers are responsible for not reading the Steamgifts Guidelines, and helpfully give out incorrect/misleading/nonsense advice. :)

Gifts should be region free, and available to all users.

I specifically wrote that "creators shouldn't host giveaways with restricted item" and that "winners are also responsible" for entering without reading the description.

So there is no need for your sarcasm, I also already said that I too, am sure that "GA's description can't overwrite rules".

Although I would love for everyone to read giveaway descriptions, as you know only support-approved restrictions are valid. If the winner ignored a message about region restricted blabla, it's the giveaway creator's tough luck. Maybe the giveaway creator will find a region-free copy via trading, or maybe they will get a "not received" after seven days. :)

I think adding support for region-restricted giveaways might be possible. We would all have to select our own region, and then select the gift's region when we create giveaways. So you'd only see region-free or same-region giveaways.
