Whatever this may or may not determine... Danganronpa > Firewatch xD
Edit: Boo, all those Firewatch votes... =( WTF is.... Firewatch

It's not a matter of what it may or may not determine. At least... I think it isn't.

Firewatch was well worth my $20-ish dollars. And, mostly, I enjoy TB's videos.

I understand that. Even I will admit it's not a game for everyone, but if it's the type of game you'd enjoy, it's AMAZING.

I voted for Danganronpa as well. Firewatch does seem interesting, though.

One more reason to vote for Firewatch. My backlog is long enough as it is, I might as well only look at short games. :P

Then I just might be thanking you.. For no real reason XD

Well, your steamcommunity username, and the fact that you told me you were taking a long break from the internet.

Either I forgot to put it, or I don't want everyone to be happy..

Voted for Firewatch. already played it and loved it. This game deserves more attention.

It is, and I thought it would have more love. Maybe it's because Firewatch is, for lack of a better term, more mainstream.

I guess, it's quite simple, not everyone loves anime.

I'd phrase it as it is more of a current pretty game everyone wants, but I guess your one is… well, a nicer way to put it. And hey, it may be a really great story I'll experience someday, but as I said, as much enjoyable stuff like Life is Strange are, if someone said I could play either the entire TellTale portfolio from Walking Dead or an Ace Attorney game, I wouldn't even think about choosing the latter.

:3 you may or may not be experiencing the story in the near future

The gameplay is the detective work. Ace Attorney's "gameplay", when you look at it, is literally clicking through dialogue bubbles. That's it. But you actually have to piece together a quite intricate crime in all cases, and in early games, when it was purely courtroom drama, you had to break the perpetrator purely with questions. And it was you, the player making the right choices, and the choices did have an outcome (win or lose and try from the start).
Like the old text adventure games? Remember/heard of those? The gameplay was made up by you entering one of the pre-set 6-30 commands on each scene, yet they were devious and often next to impossible to beat because they often had one correct way and the player had to figure out the one. (Some of the choose-your-adventure books followed this kind of game design, only on paper.)

Reading what you're saying of the game it does sound good, and also your previous comment made me look at it more. But what I'm saying is they didn't do that good of showing that with the pics they used, before I was thinking it was mostly just a visual novel with little input from the player.

sigh One of the worst things about Japanese games beyond the really, really advertised ones like Final Fantasy, is that they are just terrible trying to bring in people who are not into anime/manga/etc at least just a little. So it is easy to be in your shoes and not even knowing what something may be about. Like how many people know what Metar Gear Rising: Revengeance is, but they just never learn that the same devs made a much, much better game of similar game play called Bayonetta and just write that game off as a strange religious Japanese weirdness (even if literally is probably the only hack & slash that got 100% rating at a few higher-tier gaming sites/magazines).

As much as I like walking simulators I don't see the appeal of fire watch. The setting ain't all that interesting, but I would love to explore it if the art style wasn't so disgusting IMO. Don't really know what Danganronpa is, but it looks much more interesting than Firewatch in my opinion.

I like the idea of seclusion in a place that isn't generic spoopy basement/facility. So a forest is a pretty good setting for that.
Guess it all depends on story, so.. Eh.

Well, on the other hand, forests were the most commonly used backdrops for spooky stories, and they never really went out of fashion. Mostly it's either a forest or a single-building backdrop. I guess it is difficult to make anything seem eerie when you could literally just go around and leave it.

Every setting has been used multiple times. It doesn't matter anymore - it's up to each persons liking. But personally, I like open world/big areas more.

Firewatch apparently puts a lot of weight on human interaction and how people act when it seems like nobody is watching.
It seems interesting enough, though I think Dangan is so much cooler.
I must say I quite like the artstyle myself. I saw a wonderful screenshot of a deer a few days ago that would make a perfect wallpaper :)

This seems like a good amount, sent out invites :3 I'll swap out some people if they want though.

I'd love to just post this without a description, but I'd feel so bad if I didn't :(
So... Vote. For no real reason.
Voting will be active for 24 hours/when I remember to close it
