Painkiller Black Edition - already owned or not?

Hey guys,

i got some weird thing. I already own Painkiller Black Edition (got it from the Indie Gala Magicka Bundle). Steam lists it in my Libary and if i go to my profile. But if i go on the shop site of the game, i dont get any message that i already own it. Even if i click on buy, i dont get the warning you normally get if you own a game. Anyone else the same thing? Or does anybody know, why this is?

It's probable that the app code for the version you have is slightly different from the app code used for the version in the Steam shop. I also see this issue with my copy of ARMA II from the Humble Bundle. Store page doesn't show I own it, and it doesn't show as owned for giveaway entry purposes here on SG either, and I had to manually filter it with SG+. The main store page also titles it ARMA 2, but my version in the games list instead says ARMA II. Likely all just because it's a slightly different database entry in Steams backend.

Yeah. It's same case with Painkiller

There are two editions

Gold Edition and Black Edition, which have different app ids. Steam page is actually for Gold Edition (id 3200), but you have Black Edition (id 3210) and it doesn't show as owned.

well, what would happen if i buy it again :D? and why dont they fix it? because its a bit irritating.

It adds black edition to cart, so it should say you own it.

Try to launch the game (for 10 secs if you want, and with SAM if you don't want to download the game, no matter) for the first time, Steam will add you a playtime, and you'll be able to see the game in your in your profile.

Ok, I've just checked the Steam store page of the game, nor my friends or me has this game (even if the game appear in my library for me too), so it's a Steam glitch. You can't do anything to solve this problem.

I have the same issue with Black Edition; however, when I click purchase for myself Steam will say I already own it.

oh, same here. but normally i get a message, if its in my shopping basket and not if i try to checkout. this is some weird stuff :D
