You can give away keys that were free, just not in an actual giveaway page.

If you want to do a giveaway that doesn't use the 'Make a New Giveaway' page, that is fine. You just can't do an official giveaway.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with that, keys for free games are often given via forum here, and from time to time people give away non-free games by alternative means. Also, welcome to SG! :)
