Need the name of a C16 game (plus giveaway)

I just remembered one of the first games I've played, but I can't recall its name. Maybe someone who has played games on the C16 can help me out. It's possible that the game was available on the C64 as well, I'm not sure.

So what I remember is the following:

• it's a platformer with side view
• the game takes place in a mine (at least the first level, but I'm relatively sure it's the whole game)
• there are multiple levels connected by ladders on the screen, similar to this
• there is Tumbleweed in the game (not sure if it's an obstacle, enemy or just decoration, I think it also moves)
• I think your character has a pickaxe and dynamite, but I'm not 100% sure, especially not about the dynamite
• I think your character has a hat, but again - not sure
• apparently the game is not very popular since Google didn't help me find it so far (which means it's not Mario Bros or something similar)

I would appreciate any help. It's not like I'm desperate to find out what the game was called, but it'd be nice to play it again since it's one of the first memories about computer games I have. What was your first game, do you still remember its name?

EDIT: Found the game, it's Varmit! Thanks to all who helped. Quite funny how I remember it, it had a lot more detail in my memory. But that's just how things go I guess.

And a giveaway for Thomas was Alone, definitely a game worth playing if you don't own it yet.
