She has MAC book so they should be MAC compatible. Either co-op or multiplayer. Should be enjoyable to play for short periods of time during weekend.

For GAs you can join the group below. Currently 60+ GAs from 0-6 level. Will be adding more soon.

Don't think those games will be suitable for her.

You don't need to be in WL to join giveaways that aren't WL exclusive.

My first recommendation would be Trine or Torchlight 2.
Perhaps Lovers In a Dangerous Spacetime? I've never played it, but it looks good.

Are they all MAC compatible?

Yes. I myself am a girl who jumped into PC gaming a year ago without much experience (except handhelds, pokémon games and stuff) and I have a macbook. They can all be played on Mac but for 3 of the games I highly recommend a controller that works with Mac because otherwise it's not much fun.

You can also check my most played games on Steam, maybe it will give you guys some inspiration (some games are not Mac compatible because I also own a windows PC but I mainly play on Mac :) )

McDroid's pretty fun. Should be MAC compatible, never tried the mult/coop option for it though.

To the Moon. It's single player, but it's simple gameplay-wise, though it has good interesting dialogues, good story and is rather atmospheric.

As others have already suggested, Trine games are very nice to play together.

In my experience, theme is something very important, when introducing new people to games. If you can find a game with a theme she really enjoys, she's far more likely to enter with an open mind.

Also, Worms.

I'd recommend the Trine games too, played the second with my gf and she really enjoyed it.
Other games I'd recomend would be (since I played them with my gf)
Keep talking and nobody explodes
Tabletop SImulator
Battleblock Theatre
Ibb & Obb
Monaco: What's yours is mine
(of course) Portal 2
and I'm planning on giving Lovers in a dangerous space time a try in the near future

oh yeah and we enjoy playing point&click adventures together (like all the deadalic games out there), perhaps that's something for you guys aswell

like Fnord said: if you can find a theme she likes it'll definitly help getting her into the game

Well, one thing I can think of is 100% Orange Juice but it doesn't run natively. It runs perfectly in Wine on Linux, maybe a similar thing for OSx?
