nobody wants Dota. I have 5 copies right know and there is nobody without the game, who wants it. Not even a gift url for Steam :/

You'd be surprised, most of the people who don't have it / want it just aren't regular Steam members and/or aren't connected to any big Steam subcommunities. Two of my real life friends (only have 3-4 on Steam) didn't have it and both took some of my copies.
I'm saying this, but I don't mean it to be relevant to the OP's question

I know, but I already invited the friends of my friends too. D:

3 friends of mine who doesn't use SG want the game. Are you willing to give those copies away?

Err.. whats the point. Just give them away to your friends or just keep them on your inventory.

Hell NO! Even if it has 0 value, there will be probably A LOT of people giving it away and that would make the site SOOOOO SLOW. If you want to give it away THAT badly just go to one of the hundreds of threads about giving away dota 2 and post that anyone who adds you will recieve a beta invite. There was even a Sub Reddit about giving away dota 2 invites.

Exactly! I don't understand why he wants to give it away in the Giveaway function and make the site slow like before. What is the difference if he gives his copies in the forum/reddit? He is not after contribution value, so i don't really see a difference.

Ithink the problem is, that Dota will only show up in the list of games you own (aka your Steam library) when you have installed and played it.
BUT if you have only the spectator client (and installed and "played"), it will also show up as Dota.
So you see, Steamgifts has no way of really determining if you own / don't own Dota, because Valve decided to not properly update the library.
If Valve cared, they would have made 4 library entries (Dota test, Dota spectator, Dota beta, Dota full).
The problems could be
a) people with spectator client can't enter Dota giveaways
b) people with Dota could enter Dota giveaways, if they havent played the game yet
c) people that won Dota and haven't played it, could be reported/suspended for "not activating" the game, even if they activated it

sorry, I'm slightly tired, I thought you were replying to Kaitlyn, when you were actually replying to Jackal ;)

just hand it out on the forums, it has no value. if it had 0 points that would be fine, though, i don't really mind having six copies sitting in my inventory since they'll eventually expire.
