No.

There's no hope, there is nothing you can do, the backlog is too strong.

103 games in my backlog
download a game¹
play that game²
finish that game³
107 games in my backlog

¹ ahhh amazing deal
² omg that bundle is a must
³ wow 80% ! better buy that game

More stuff for your backlog (or just a +1 in your library)

Just to be clear: for "How many games in your backlog?" I mean games you actually want to play, not random games that you never played

I lost track of my back log, It's just too depressing. I just pretend I meant to collect games instead of play them all because I don't think I'll ever play them all. This is a pretty cool thing that you can use to decide what game to play, even ones from your backlog you don't want to.

Might hep, too.

To be honest, I just hoard them for later. I play games at much slower rate that the amount I buy... per week.
I just got used to the idea that playing through my backlog will take me the rest of my life.

One day the flood of new good games coming out will stop and then I will dedicate the rest of my life playing through all the wonderful games I have collected until then.

Bad kitty, you do giveaway in a giveaway. We are here to deal with backlog, not to create more. :)

Hey, that's my plan as well ;)
But on a serious note, I'm rather sure that sooner or later there's going to be a crash among the smallest indies, but the whole industry will keep on going for a looong time.

I know what you mean. At the moment I have very limited time and so much games to play. However I just booked The Mini Bundle 5. This is insane. :)

the size of my backlog is almost too embarassing to tell

267 games not played (having used idle master probably messed up those stats a lot, so I would guess I have around more than 400 unplayed games)

I still haven't touched my Scholar of the First Sin, and it's been sitting here installed since the first day. :( What a waste of money... :)

Actually, I never even finished the dlc in the base Dark Souls II. Not sure why I was in such a hurry to buy a patch. :(

At least I haven't bought any Dark Souls lunchboxes or action figures. :) Hope you can resist long enough to catch a 75% discount... :)

Around 10? I had more but recently I was fighting with it pretty well.

And I'm not buying anything new if I have games in my backlog. It's that simple for me xD

I have 27 games in my library with the "soon to play"-tag, and it's with certainly incomplete.
Plus the ones I want to catch up on with some emulator-magic.

Why do you ask questions like that :( I'll just say "lots" and leave it at that. Sure, plenty of the games I've got from bundles are games that I'll never play, but that still leaves lots of games that I do want to play at some point.

At least I have Backloggery to help me keep track of what games I own, so that I don't risk buying the same game twice. It also has a nice random function, so if I don't know what I play, I can always hit it and knock some random game from my backlog.

Very insensitive questions, man.

Anyway, the best way to get out of backlog is the sweet, merciful release of death. For many it's the only way!

The thing that gets me is if you do actually collect 1000+ games, it takes a age for them to load every time you browse the profile... and what's so great about spending money on games with terrible reviews which you won't ever play?

I don't buy or enter giveaways for games I have no interest in playing. Same for bundle games. If I don't see something appealing in a game, I don't activate it. Even if it has cards.

With that said I have almost 700 games in my library and if I ever nanage to play even half of them I'll be more than content.
