I synced my account and now I can't enter any Red Orchestra 2 Giveaway

As the title says. I was joining to a group but I needed to sync my account to see the giveaways, I entered some and leaved. Hours later I tried to spend some more points, my surprise? I can't enter any red orchestra 2 giveaway. I realized that steam gave the free weekend of the game, so that's why I can't enter... If you want to get this game, you must NOT sync your account, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to enter a giveaway until monday.

Just saying for those who happened the same, and for those who didn't know it yet.

I will, if I could. In my country it's pretty hard to get some USD for spend. I have lots of games cause I find people who sell it in my local coin. Still waiting for a credit card for spending money myself :/

You can simply link Paypal to your bank account, no need for a CC and Paypal will automatically convert your local currency to USD while processing your payments.

That's the point. My local coin it's really worthless, so PayPal isn't able to convert it (also, I think it's not permitted by the government) so the only way to have USD it's having a credit card, and ask for the "Electronic Coupons" which are only 400$ per year.

I see, apparently you guys can't freely purchase anything online without interference of CADIVI, I wasn't aware of that, over here people purchase most of their things online even daily groceries so it's easy to forget that not every country permits that.
Oh btw, if i'm not mistaken it will take at least a week for SG to remove the game from the list of games already owned even if you sync after the free weekend, and if you've played the game during the free weekend it takes even longer.

It isn't actually a Steamgifts issue. The problem is on Steam's side. Steam puts free weekend games in your profile as an "owned" game and it can stay there for up to a couple of weeks after the free weekend.

It is a long-standing problem, but Steam just doesn't seem to care enough to fix the issue, as it doesn't affect them directly. Steamgifts can't do anything about it, as they can only work with the faulty profile information that Steam provides. (That is what syncing is doing, it is Steamgifts getting your current profile from Steam. But your profile's list isn't an exact duplicate of your real library/ownership, some stuff doesn't get listed in your profile and stuff like the free weekend mis-listings also occur.)

Learnt is overrated.

It's used more in Europe where they use "proper English". Learned is more NA crap thrown into "English".

Canadians tend to have the worse I find as we combine both a lot, I spell favourite with a "u", yet usually spell color without it.
