Absolutely nothing. The same why people can spend thousands of dollars on Steam levels. Or spend years of their lives to have an entire roster of max-level WoW characters.

Yes and no. Most hobbies can be considered futile/sad. If people are doing it because they think they gain something out of it apart from having a good time… then it is pretty sad.

Brother if people are spending thousand of dollars just so it says they are level 10 on some irrelevant website that won't benefit you in any way then idk... Think about what good you can do with the money if it is spent elsewhere... However I am not here to judge as I respect everyone's choice

Everyone spends money on what they want. I could say that collecting stamps or buying booze can be equally useless in the eyes of many. Some people enjoy giving away here, or levelling up on Steam, or spending god-awful lot of hours farming for a slightly better pair of pants in Diablo 3. As long as they are having a good time, who cares. As I said, most hobbies are usually worthless for an outsider.

I know there are people around buying that dragon lore weapon on cs or spending theit money for items in private servers..people don't go always go hard to lvl up they are just enjoy doing it

Level 10 is just so that you have a higher chance of getting the gift being offered, that's all really.
Then you simply should stop worrying about getting to level 10. It's not worth it if you're doing it for the giveaways, just buy the games you want instead.

Well your chances of winning also increase immensely by being a higher level because there are less people the higher you go. Though around level 5/6 or so is the sweet spot if you're doing it for maximum profit.
