I would love to start playing some more dating sims and was wondering what people have played and would recommend

Thanks

played things off of Steam like:

Clannad
Little Busters
Heartache 101
(I played and enjoyed these)

So anything like this would help

I don't play those a lot but I had a lot of fun with Monster Prom. I haven't played Monster Camp but I read great things about it so it's probably another one to check out.

Ladykiller in a Bind is a very good dating VN with a lot of meaningful choices, though for specific tastes.

Alright finally a topic I can actually recommend properly

Yusetsu is one I have yet to try but the reviews are positive and the art is stunning, looks like it has different routes and branching paths so that's real nice, though again haven't played it yet so take this with a grain of salt. Warning has a DLC that unlocks nudity and idk if you're into that in your VN's, looking at your recommendations probably not.

Tricolour Lovestory is again another I have YET to play, have heard lots of good stuff with the story and it has that emotional tugging to it, lots of routes (characters etc) to pick, also very cheap and the art also looks very nice, though I have heard the DLC's are lackluster and/or fuck over the narrative of the base game, take this game with salt as well

Love Esquire is a game I can actually full heartedly recommend, it's a fully voiced VN, now that is not exactly impressive but still a bit rare, but the part that really hooked me was the emotion, I don't think I've ever heard a VN be voiced so enthusiastically, now not down grading any others but this was just new to me and top tier. The main character's voice at first I didn't quite like but it really sunk in after the first playthrough I quite like him. Now however the game is LONG, and I'm not messing around, to do each route at least once, I'd say 50 hours as I took 12+ for my first one. If you where to pick one from this list, this is the one you should at least attempt. Has a free DLC that gives you a sexually explicit picture at the end of your waifus route, but a mod that has a full on sex as the epilogue, so y'know be warned if you're not into that

Clover Day's Plus , yeah I know recommending another game I've yet to play but hear me out, this is more like a introducing you to the game as even I don't know if it lives up to the hype of its 97% positive all reviews. It looks and works similarly to little busters as it IS an older VN (2015 I believe?) so check this out if you feel interested, what I can gather is the childhood friend trope where he is brought back to the town of his youth reconnecting and rekindling friendships (& romances, wow who guessed) so y'know check it out if you're ever bored

Katawa Shoujo is not a steam game so let's get that out the way, it's a free downloadable game that's on their website. Now I don't know why but this list came out as instead of recommend more like bring your eye, type of list which I didn't mean to do, just kinda really narrowed what I recommend as your tastes seemed pretty different, anyway, Hisao Nakai (MC's name) starts of the game at his HS where he has a heart attack and is admitted to the hospital, turns out he has a heart disease which prohibits extensive activities and forces him to be placed in a school with other disabled (nicest way to put it?) people. You get closer to the other main 5 heroines and a couple of other characters there, pretty heartwarming stuff really. Heard really good stuff about this one though also really tugs at you when you hear the backstories, again another that's been on my backlog and probably the one that's been there the longest

List kinda turned into more of a "Hey check this out" and not a "This is why this game is good" but hopefully you find this slightly useful, honestly I have other recommendations though they all include nudity etc. so I will hesitate to recommend that stuff.

I also recommend Katawa Shoujo.
Some other interesting titles are: Arcade Spirits, Boyfriend Dungeon, Doki Doki Literature Club!, Hatoful Boyfriend.

I absolutely fell in love with Hustle Cat. Curses, cats, charming characters--it has them all. I usually either get bored with VNs after a couple of routes and have to take a break or just plain don't care enough about a character to go through their route, but I played every route in the game and still wanted more. Specifically, wanted a secret route with the villain, but alas.

I think... I had Clannad on my WL at some point... the others I have no clue about.
Unless you're going for a certain optic, I might have a few recommendations.

Always Remember Me - The first Dating Sim I played, as far as I can remember. Totally got me hooked on Winter Wolves games for a while.

Amnesia: Memories - has absolutely nothing to do with a certain Amnesia Series. I really, really liked this one.

Cinderella Phenomenon - It's free and really good!

Cinders - If you like fairytales, this one is really nice :3

Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator? <3

Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds - if you like a historical one playing in japan with lots of samurai - still have to play the second one panic

Highway Blossoms - yuri and I think it was a read only - so no choices to make - but it was adorable :3

The Men of Yoshiwara: Kukuya - japan again, male curtesans... oh well, I got a soft spot for pretty boys, ok?

Our Life: Beginnings & Always - Another free to play (although the DLCs are adorable) AND IT IS JUST SUCH A SWEET AND LOVELY AND Shjfgikbsjdgsdgsd game, I can't ;( <3

Purrfect Date - Cats, wait, don't go! Hear me out! Bc yes, I was put of by both the style and the idea of dating cats, but this is a really good game! Give it a chance!

Roommates - Another Winter Wolves game - I didn't mention all of them, bc reasons. But this one stuck with me for quite a while too :3

Considering steam says I own 152 games with the Dating Sim tag... there are obv still a lot left unnamed. I even tried to stay clear of the yaoi ones...
