So you work as one of the guys in charge of moving all the stuff?
My dad used to work selling shows as a side thing, as in one of the guys that drives around the country trying to convince municipal governments, festivals, and such to hire the artists he worked with. So I got to go in a few tours during my teens, only during summer vacations of course, and met a few guys that literally worked as movers but for musicians, otherwise I wouldn't even know that was a profession.

I do help assist with pushing. I am a semi truck driver and only required to secure the equipment in my trailer. I am just told to go from Point A to Point B. Slap on the ass and good luck driving.

Depends on how long the tour lasts. Some are a a month or two long, others are 8-9 months. During that time, I sleep in my truck. Also I don't get any home time during that. You expected to stay out the length of the tour.

I have a friend who is also a truck driver, who said that the worst part of it was not knowing where or how will he sleep. Luckily they recently changed management and in the evening he always drives home (a different story I know). He is much happier now.

Depends on what type of fleet you are on. If you are on a dedicated. local or intermodal one. They typically go home everyday or on weekends.

Also you have regional dedicated and OTR (over the road). These fleets usually stay out 4-8 weeks and get home time based off how many weeks they stay out. 4 weeks = 4 days.

Since I stay out around 6-8 months, I usually take 2-3 weeks off.

Been mainly at Stadiums, Arena and what not. The only festival I am going to, is the one in Lexington, KY at the Red Mile
