Well there's this which should run most things on low-medium

Rather than be a condescending idiot, here's some actual advice.
For the money, you will not get a gaming laptop. You could possibly build a relatively good PC for it and upgrade it later, but gamin laptops are, in my opinion, a rip off. You can rarely ever swap components, except maybe put in some new RAM, and $400 is barely enough to buy a future proof laptop for internet/email/work, let alone finding one with a decent (or even acceptable) graphics card.

For the budget range that you have specified, you will not find a gaming laptop. At best, you'll find a decent workstation that may be a generation or two old, but you will not find a gaming notebook for this price. To give you an idea of the price range of gaming notebooks, this is a 3 generation old gaming notebook (highest Mobile GPU right now is the GTX 780M): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230111.

Unfortunately, unless you wish to increase your budget nearly double, you will not find a gaming notebook. I'd actually recommend following BearHugger's advice above.
